Chapter 6: Time to Themselves

Narrator's P.O.V

Ruby: Krystal, can you take over? "Ruby asked as she was moving the onions in the pan around. The entire house was doing either chores or cooking. Krystal puts down some chopsticks and looks at Krystal.

Krystal: Jaune, you think you got this yourself?

Jaune: Yeah, I'll be fine.

Krystal smiles and walks over to Ruby. Taking over. Krystal was stirring the onions in a unnatural manner. Elec was managing a pot next to Krystal when he saw her. A worried look dawns his face. Elec taps her shoulder and she looks at him. Elec looks at the onions worryingly.

Krystal: I'm not going to burn it! Watch! "Elec rolled his eyes with a smile and returns to his job. Ren walks up to Elec and asked.

Ren: How's the noodles? "Elec nods happily and motions Ren to have a look. Ren does and a satisfied smiles appears on his face. "Nice work, Elec. I didn't know you were such a cook. "Elec just smiles and returns to the noodles. Ren looks at Krystal and his expression changes. "Uhh, you're going to over cook that.

Krystal: No, I won't! You guys don't worry. "Suddenly the onions erupted in smoke and Krystal jumped slightly. Elec quickly took the pan off the stove. "Yeah, you guys are right. I'm a bad cook.

Ren: We weren't saying that.

Elec sighs and looks at Krystal with a reassuring smiles. Krystal looks at the onions and says.

Krystal: They don't look cooked to me. "Krystal said bluntly as she turns to Elec.

Ren: With onions, it's hard to tell if they're cooked or not. "Elec points at Ren nodding.

Krystal: Well, I didn't know! "Krystal puffed her cheeks and crosses her arm. Elec rolls his eyes once more and left to retrieve plates. Ren walks next to Krystal. "I swear, he's like my older brother.

Ren: I'm quite confused as to how you can understand what he's saying without him evening saying anything.

Krystal: Yeah, it's weird. I don't even know how.

Ren: Perhaps you're an expert at reading expressions.

Krystal: Perhaps....

Akira walks in and steps on something that results in a crack. Looking down, Akira finds hat the stepped on glass. Slowly Akira looks ahead and saw Weiss, Yang and Ruby. Surprised and shock, Akira said.

Akira: Y-Yang? Weiss, I didn't expect to see you so soon. How did you even get here?

Weiss: It's a long story.

The food was done and was set on the table. Everyone took their seats. Their tense and awkward moment lifted when Dante walks in. Yang and Weiss were practically screaming at how cute he looked. Everyone laughed as Dante was a blushing mess. However, someone seemed slightly jealous. When they settled down. Laughs were shared and so was stories. Ruby's team. Jaune's team and Akira's team. However, Elec was nowhere to be seen. Having decided that he was not needed there, he left to train.
