Five does not say much after seeing his older-looking siblings before making his way inside the house. Everyone follows him with their eyes before following close after him, waiting for him to say something. Five walks into the kitchen and begins rummaging through cabinets in search of something specific.
It's pretty silent in the kitchen, with everyone still in shock seeing their missing brother reappear after seventeen years. Klaus sits criss-cross on top of the table, despite wearing a skirt. Allison stands to his right, while Viktor sits in the chair in front of her. To Klaus' left stands Niki while Diego sits by the corner of the table, in front of her. Luther is sitting in a chair in front of them. All siblings were staring forward at their brother, watching as he space-jumped from one place to another, grabbing certain items.
"What's the date? The exact date?" Number Five breaks the silence as he grabs a bag of bread from the cupboard. No, hello. No, how are you? Nothing.
"The twenty-fourth," Viktor says out loud, everyone still looking at him as he prepares himself something to eat.
"Of what?" Number Five stresses out. Niki notices the annoyance and slight desperation in his voice and begins to assess him to figure him out.
"March," Viktor continues to answer him with no hesitation. Number Five pauses his actions and gives a slight nod as if understanding something.
"Good," He says, going back to making a sandwich.
"So, are we gonna talk about what just happened?" Luther, being Luther, dives straight to questioning the elephant in the room. Granted, everyone wants to know too. At this, Number Five stays silent and takes two slices of bread from the bag and places it on the cutting board. Allison and Klaus give one another a knowing look before looking back at Number Five.
Luther has enough of his silence and stands up from his chair. "It has been seventeen years," he says looking at Number Five.
Number Five just scoffs, "It's been longer than that." He walks in front of Luther before space jumping behind him to reach a top shelf for the bag of marshmallows.
"I haven't missed that," Luther mutters.
"Where'd you go?" Diego asks with arms crossed over his chest, all while not looking at Number Five.
"The future," he says as he space jumps back to his original spot. "It's shit, by the way."
Klaus raises his finger, "Called it." Niki gives him a slight nudge with her elbow, in which he returns and then Niki nudges him again and Klaus does so too. Niki goes to nudge him again but instead she's nudged by the person to her left. She looks at Diego to see him giving her a 'stop it' look. She gives a slight glare before crossing her arms. Some things never change.
"I should have listened to the old man," Number Five says with a sigh as he walks to the refrigerator and opens it. "You know, jumping through space is one thing, jumping through time is a toss of the dice," he takes out a jar of peanut butter and opens it. He stops and looks up and takes a look at Klaus. "Nice dress," he compliments and Klaus thanks him.
"If you jumped in time, then how'd you get back?" Niki questions, not understanding the missing holes in the puzzle.
"In the end, I had to project my consciousness forward into a suspended quantum state version of myself that exists across every possible instance of time," Number Five replies in words that only a few understood parts of.
"That makes no sense," Diego says as he stares at Number Five with a look of confusion.
"Well, it would if you were smarter," Number Five comments as he begins to put peanut butter on the bread. Diego defensively stands up from the corner table he was sitting on, ready to fight Number Five. Luther stops Diego by placing his arm across his chest. "The only other person who could possibly understand that is Niki. Congratulations on your second Ph.D. by the way," He compliments her as he gives her a quick look.
