Prologue: A Walk Back In History

Millions of years after the Earth's creation, the Supreme Being— the Almighty, Yahweh, God, the Chosen One, a Fourth Dimensional Being— decided to do something that made the world as it is today. For someone as omnipotent, omniscient and powerful as God is, he never have thought that he missed something that brought changes on Earth.

Lucifer, just one of his many names but unanimously titled 'Evil One', declared to the Supreme Being: "I shall destroy all your all creations and persuade them to love me, worship me and hate you."

Soon after Supreme Being has banished Lucifer from the Heavens and punished him with divine judgement, Lucifer has thought of ways on how he could corrupt Supreme Being's creation as vengeance, or he is just evil himself and though of evil things as evil as he is. He, Lucifer, slipped out demons from Hell— the Purgatory or Tartarus— to the mortal world to wreck havoc and taint the pure blooded humans with demonic essences. That didn't last long, to Lucifer's dismay, as the Heralds of the Supreme Being stopped the Devil's plans. But as sly as a fox, and as mischievous as Lucifer, he outwitted the Supreme Being. The Demons from Hell succeeded with tainting humans with their corrupted blood, that lead to the emergence of the Supernaturals.

From the most famous beings like the shifters (the were's) and the vampires (the blood suckers) to the most diverse Crawlers of the Night. The Demons attained their main purpose for coming into the mortal realm.

Of course the Supreme Being did not let Lucifer do his way so he gave his best creation, the humans, power. He gave them access to the Celestial Realm—some may call it the Spiritual Realm, the Magical World or the Dwellings of Mana. Thus creating the Avatars such as the wizards and witches, Elves, Fairies, and Dwarves to name some of them.

Countless wars and chaos between the parties of Avatars and Supernaturals have taken place like the two side are natural enemies to each other, like oil and water. The humans too have partaken in this wars, the most prominent ones are called the World Wars I and II. They were forced to chose one side, after all this is war. But amidst of those battles came out two entities that took the shape of a man and woman. They were called Keeper of Order & Chaos, made from the immense desire of the both parties, the Avatars and the Supernaturals.

God and Lucifer just shrugged their shoulders when they noticed the entities as if they were the most natural as the trees and rocks and water. For some reason, they cannot have their hands on those two like they belonged to no one, or came from a different plane or dimension.

As sudden as a lightning bolt, the Supreme Being vanished without a trace. But before God vanished, God leaved a scroll telling his Heralds to take on charge in his absence.

At first, the Avatars were at the losing side before the Heralds has sent them their help. There the Demi-gods appeared. The Heralds called themselves Gods of different aspects after them taking charge.

Battles after battles took place since with no clear insight on which side will win and which one will lose. Countless deaths. Supernaturals have more number but the Avatars are more powerful with the Demi-gods in their side.

The final battle finally took place. The humans were no longer on either side for the last battles have caused them huge token. Lucifer with his demons and devils are present together with the remaining Supernaturals. The Heralds, well of course cannot let Lucifer do as he pleas, came down from the Heavens with the strongest seraphims of the three Spheres. They have to help the Avatars. The Keepers are also present to witness the battle.

That battle was the most bloody and most destructive battle that have taken place in the entire history of Earth. Both sides suffered terrible damages. Lucifer did have a hard time fighting the Heralds as they were more in number than he and no other from his side can be on par on those 'Gods', as he mocks them. He also suffered terrible wounds and burns. The Heralds were in no better state, some of them received deep wounds and fatal damages, some were barely conscious. That only proves how Lucifer had become powerful over the last centuries.

They were lucky that the place were they fought is an island away from the civilization or else humans could have taken damages too!

Both side were now nearing their limit. The Keepers finally spoke for the first time after an hour long of battle. "We, the Keepers of Order and Chaos, have now decided to judge the outcome of this battle." Both of them said simultaneously. Everyone stopped what they are doing, even Lucifer and the Heralds of God.

"We state that the battle is a draw." The two sounded as if they were one, its hard to say whether its a woman or a man who is talking. They paused for a minute.

"We now order that everyone should go and leave this place, except for the heads for this battle. Cease all hostilities and never create any destructions in this world."

After that, the Heralds and Lucifer, both with no open arms, came into the terms of the Keepers. As evil as Lucifer can be, he just followed the agreements because it was not bad for him either. The Heralds did not also want the agreements but they seem to cannot disagree with the two.

The agreements were made based from the outcome of the battle. The Keeper of Order does good things and make things in peace while the Keeper of Chaos makes everything bad and cause trouble. The agreements were never in favor with any side at all because if the Keeper of Chaos makes troubles, as he is supposed to, the Keeper of Order makes an action to keep it at bay or even make peace. They are like the little Lucifer and little God that does thing on contrast with each other but kept it in a less noticeable and less destructive rivalry, if they can call it that way. They added:

"Balance keeps this world running."

Hundreds of years after the Battle with the Keepers, as they call it, humans seems to forget the existence of the Avatars, Supernatural, Demons and Angels or the Heralds. Humans focused on their own business. Technological advancements and scientific breakthroughs bought them to a world where they do not believe on them anymore. Thought of them as legends, myths, or a children story told by the old ones.

The Supernaturals and Avatars were in a brink of extinction after that world ending battle. Because each side suffered countless death and terrible losses. They used each passing year to propagate and reproduce until they reach a number enough for the survival of each species.

They didn't fought ever again, but that didn't stop some little fight between certain species, and cold wars, and some small troubles by the Keeper of Chaos but will always get solved with the intervention of the Keeper of Order. Nevertheless, they seem just to enjoy life like the humans.

AUTHOR'S NOTE: I know you have many questions about the prologue, but all I can say is that this has a lot to do with what I am writing and going to write. So basically, it's my universe for writing. Lastly, I want to inform you that I am planning to make this book into a series!
