After the drama with Alpha Aleister, Aitken did what he felt like doing during that time.
He slept.
He slept, until late evening. He only wakes up occasionally to go to the bathroom or sneak to grab something to eat.
Aitken is not usually a sleepyhead but lately, all he do is rest. Yes, he comes out once in a while but that's rare. Aitken knew there's something happening with his body that makes him act strange but he couldn't pinpoint what it is. Guess he should just go with what his body wants.
Yesterday's event had him thinking. Is it truly safe to stay here?
The Alpha is a stubborn man and if the 'mate bond' grew stronger, it'll be hard to get rid of him. Eventually, he will need to erase the memory of every werewolf in this pack including Alex and Margaux for his safety. But for now, he will see how things will work out for a few more days, it's a vacation after all.
Aitken put down his phone beside him and rolled to his side with a sigh. Drowsiness came to him, his eyelids slowly closes as sleep decided to take over.

The sun began to set as the night begins when Alex decided to give his gift to his family. He wanted to have Aitken with him to see their reaction if they say the artwork. It would be nice for Aitken. He just didn't know for Aleister.
He had a bad blood for him since the rogue attack.
He also knew he is not welcome back here in the pack.
He knew too well the looks he is receiving from the adult pack members.
He knows how angry Aleister is to him.
That's why he was thrown away to a far away town. Alex was thankful that he met Margaux and Aitken then. They are his friends. He didn't want to be alone.
Werewolves are social creatures thus making them crave for other's company. Alex is no exceptions. The cruelty of the world separated him from his species and he just wanted to be accepted.
He grabbed the masterpiece from beside his bed and carried it out to the family living room located in the top floor of the pack house. After placing the landscape behind the couch, he went to go to fetch Aitken and Margaux. He requested an omega to call his family to gather for dinner before he left.
He walked down the guest rooms and stopped at Aitken's. With a couple of knocks he said, "Aitken, are you there? I was hoping you could join me and my family for dinner?"
There was no response.
Maybe he's asleep.
Alex thought then strained his super hearing on the door making out the faintest snores. It was difficult since all rooms are soundproof. Sighing, he left to Margaux's room which is on the other side of the hall.
"Margaux! Are you ready?" Alex knocked on the door before he heard shuffling and the door opened.
"I guess Aitken refused to come huh." She remarked after noticing her friend's absence. Dressed in a presentable pair of clothes, she walked out and closed the door behind.
"He is asleep in his room." Alex replied with a trace of sadness before leading the way.
But they knew he would have refused if he was awake.
The two of them knew how betrayed he felt that day. They didn't think about their actions. They were too surprised, and scared to be in the right mind. They said those words in the spur of the moment.
