“Let's stop at that motel.”
Aitken pointed at the near establishment where there are a few customers. Jeremy nodded and swerved to park in front of an empty room. Aitken quickly got down bike and gave the helmet on Jeremy.
“Wait here. I'll get us a room and first aid.” Jeremy wanted to object but Aitken was fast and went to the front desk. After getting some supplies in the nearby convenient store, Aitken was back and opening the room be got for them. Jeremy wanted to talk but the pain in his arm is becoming unbearable for him.
“Quick, remove your jacket and lay down the bed.”
Aitken then prepares the medical supplies he bought on the bed. Jeremy watches him curiously.
“What are you doing?! Fast! We've got to clean your wound!” Aitken pushed him towards the bed and harshly jerked the jacked off him revealing his tattoo covered arms. Jeremy let out a pained hiss.
“Fuck! Careful, dammit!” Jeremy cursed before he sat down on the bed, Aitken on the other hand ignored him and grabbed some towels and basin with water from the bathroom. He placed down the things around him and grabbed a chair to sit on. Aitken carefully inspects Jeremy's injured arm before he started to clean the wounds with wet towel.
“How are you feeling?” Aitken asked without looking at him.
“Drained... and hot.” Jeremy answered truthfully.
Since they left the house, he got tired just from driving and he can feel his temperature rising. Sweat formed on his face as he try to keep his composure.
“That's not good.” Aitken mumbled to himself, “I'll start disinfecting the wound. Try not to move to much.” Aitken grabbed the bottle of alcohol and poured some on the bite wound.
“Fuck! Fucking hurts!” Jeremy cursed aloud, trying to suppress the much unbearable pain he's going under. After a while, he's calmed down and Aitken started to cover his wounded arm in bandage.
“I want to ask some questions.” Jeremy said after quite some time of silence. Aitken hummed in affirmation.
“What was that ugly shit back in your house?!” Jeremy tried to control his voice but failed to do so.
Aitken sighed before taking a lax position on the chair. “I'm not sure but I guess that was a Devil Spawn.”, he replied casually.
“Ha! A Devil Spawn?! You expect me to believe that? Should I now worry about demons roaming around? What else are there? Vampires? Maybe there are also fucking angels!” he cannot hide the absurdity of what came out of Aitken's mouth but the look giving to him by the smaller guy seems serious.
“So it's fucking true!” he shouted defeatedly before he let his body drop on the soft mattress of the bed, sorting his rational mind from the mess it has become.
“Another question?” Jeremy started before lifting his head to look at Aitken, “Then, how come you know about that fucker? How are you so calm?”
Aitken paused for a moment to think his reply but he came up with, “Our planet is more mysterious that it already is. Remember when you sold me to Troy and his family?” he looked in Jeremy's eyes waiting for a response before he continues.
“They are actually vampires like how the rumors are going around the school back then.” Aitken stood up and started cleaning the room. Silence visited the room leaving an awkward air around.
“Dammit!” he cursed softly, “Look here Aitken I-I...”, Jeremy looked for the right words to say but unfortunately he can't seem to find them.
