Mook still had not found his courage. He silently scolded himself, calling himself a coward, as he watched Aru leave the school grounds and to the boardwalk. He felt completely and utterly useless up by the school's fountain, waiting for Dante. He really thought he could bring himself to talk to her after he got back from Spring Break, but he couldn't. Gang Ho and Dante both tried to push him to talk to her, but he never could. She seemed better off without him anyways. She had her friends to hand around, people that weren't him. She didn't need him. She never did. Now that he thinks about it, she probably just felt sorry for him.
"Sorry I'm a bit late, Gang Ho needed some help."
Mook peered up to see Dante standing there, a toothy smile wide on his face. Mook just gave him a slight nod, standing up and grabbing his things. Before Dante could speak another word, Mook muttered a "let's go," and began to make his way to the bus station. When Dante finally caught up to him, the bus showed up. The two quietly boarded the train and sat in the back. Mook sat in silence as he listened to his half brother talk about whatever he was talking about. It wasn't until one of Dante's extended breathing breaks that he noticed that he was no longer talking. Peering to his side, he noticed that the dark haired boy was sleeping. Letting out a sigh, Mook dug into Dante's travel bag and pulled out a travel blanket. He threw it on Dante, before turning his body to look out of the window towards the rising sun. As he let his mind wander into any and every direction, he slowly drifted to sleep.

"Mook! Get up! We're at our stop!"
Mook jolted awake as Dante shook him. As he registered what Dante had said, he began to freak out. He reached over to grab his bag, only to discover that it wasn't there. As he began to panic, Dante quickly intervened.
"Don't worry, I have both of our things. Now, let's go! We gotta hurry!"
Mook dumbly nodded as he stood up and made his way off the bus, Dante leading the way. When the two walked out of the station, it was around noon. As they made their way down the steps of the station, Mook insisted on carrying his own luggage. When the two boys were properly situated, they made their way down the maze of dirt paths and to their village.
The sun began to set when the two boys made it to the entrance of the village. The elders and field workers welcomed the two boys while handing them produce to give their mother. The boys spent the rest of the time greeting the residents of the village. The sun had finally hid itself beneath the far mountains when they made it home. The two quickly hugged their mother, who was waiting patiently for her sons to come home. They answered when she asked them about their trip, and kissed her cheek when she bade them good night.
The two boys were putting up their clothes in their separate sides of the room in silence. Mook seemed unbothered by it, but Dante wanted to break it. Finally taking a deep breath, Dante turned to talk to his brother. He was, however, met with the laying form of Mook. He watched as Mook fixed the cover and drifted off into an uncomfortable sleep. Sighing, Dante turned back around and climbed into bed. Throwing the covers over himself, he closed his eyes and drifted to bed.
