Chapter 1 The Rogue

"Alright Cody, show me what you've learned"said Delsin. Cody had had his powers since he was born. When he was five, he first discovered his powers by sneezing and setting his living room on fire. He had the power of fire. He had been recruited by Delsin so he could get control of his powers. Cody focused and summoned a fireball. "Good, Good. Now try and run through these rings I placed around the city with your flame dash. Cody did as he was told and set a new lap record. "That was amazing Cody! You beat my time with smoke dash! Something tells me that your going to be a great hero."

"Do you really think so Delsin? Thanks!" An explosion suddenly erupted from the heart of Seattle. They both dashed through the city towards it. Eugene and Fetch were lying on the ground unconscious. Suddenly Delsin was hit by a massive wall of ice which knocked him off his feet. Cody looked around for what had caused this and saw a conduit. He was completely bald and insane. He sent a barrage of ice spikes towards an abandoned car. One spike hit the gas tank and set the car on fire. "Bad move weirdo!" Cody absorbed the flames from the car and shot a fire bomb under his feet. BOOM! The rogue's screams were deafened by the explosion as he flew right over the space needle. Cody help his three allies to their feet and asked them what happened. Fetch was the first to answer. "That damn psychopath almost killed us. We tried to defend ourselves but he got in a lucky shot and knocked us both out!" The four conduits went around the scene and healed anyone who needed it. Eugene's angels patrolled the sky in search of the rogue.

After a whole day of a citywide search, the rogue could not be found. Eugene ran facial recognition scans in the entire D.U.P database, but even that turned back nothing. No one knew how he could go unnoticed for this long. And why come out now and attack innocent bystanders? No one had good enough reasons so they called it a night and all went home.
