Chapter 3 Justin Drake

Cody started to raise his body temperature to melt the snow. He felt weaker after that. He endured and proceeded to melt his friends from the ice, starting with Delsin. Del was out cold, literally. The force of the snow had knocked him out and also dramatically lowered his body temperature. As Cody went to melt Fetch and Eugene out of the snow, another wave of snow hit him against the wall. Flicking in and out of consciousness, managed to mumble " Who are you?"

The rogue responded by whispering "The last face you'll ever see. The face of Justin Drake!" Then, an icy fist was brought down on Cody's face. He felt himself being dragged. Concrete rubbed and grazed and gashed all up his back. He woke up in a cold cell. His face was pale. He was extremely weak. He leant on the freezing cobblestone wall. He spotted a cage over from his. "Hey. HEY!" The girl in the cage woke up.

"Shhh! Keep it down! My grandpa is trying to sleep."

"Did you say grandpa? Does he smoke?"

"Yes why?

"Toss me his packet of matches."

"Ok? What do you need them for?"

"To get us out of here!"

The girl chucked the match packet to Cody. He emptied all but one match into a pile. He struck the match alight and dropped it into the pile. A blazing fire appeared, so Cody drained it. He felt instantly better and used his fire to melt the metal bars of his cage. He then proceeded to melt the girl's cage. "I forgot to ask. what is your name and are you a conduit as well?"

"My name is Elizibeta Lancaster and yes, I am. I, how should I say this, control water. But who are you?"

"My name is Cody Cambridge and, as you already know, I control fire and we have to run." They started to run.

"Hey, I just realised this! Our powers are opposites but both our last names are places in Britain."

"Yeah! That's cool and all but we've got company!" Just then, lights came flickering down the hallway and shouts could be heard saying "The prisoners have escaped!"

"Elizibeta, we have a slight problem! Get ready to defend yourself!"
