Chapter 12

Hello guys!!! So sorry for the delay on the chapters of this story, I have been having writers block and struggles with college. The story is almost done, I hope you like this chapter. Thank you Mekayla243 for helping me to start it 😘

It was very busy day for the family. Rosie and Bill's wedding was just around the corner and everybody was preparing for that day. The hotel needed to be in order so there wouldn't be chaos. Sam walked into his wife's office, her back was to the door so she couldn't see him come in. He walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist. He smiled lightly when he felt Donna relax into his arms.

He spoke, "What are you doing still working? We have to get ready for Bill and Rosie's rehearsal dinner."

Before he even spoke, Donna knew that it was her husband that came into the office. She immediately felt relaxed when his arms went around her waist. She said, "I'm almost done now, just another minute or so."

He finally looked over her shoulder to see what she was actually doing. He saw that she had been organizing the guest information. Donna leaned back before she tilted her head to kiss Sam. As the kiss continued, she placed the papers that were in her hands down on the desk and turned so she was facing him, not breaking the kiss. They soon pulled away for air. She glanced at the clock on the wall to check the time. She said, "We have to go get ready now. I promised Sophie we would look after Donny so she and Sky could get some things done before the dinner."

Sam nodded before they both left the office. They made the short walk back to their place before they started getting ready. He was ready rather quickly. He couldn't help but watch Donna as she got ready. Without looking at him, she could tell that he was looking at her. She spoke, "What are you staring at?"

He smiled, "You're just so beautiful."

Donna blushed lightly as she smiled. She turned her head to look at him, "You're not so bad yourself Mr. Carmichael."

After getting to the hotel, Sophie handed Donny to Donna and she and Sam went to the side of the courtyard and set a blanket so their grandson could play on the floor. They sat beside him and played with him, having Donny happy with his toys.

Donna was looking at him in awe, seeing him so content playing. Her heart sink a little and her eyes began to water. Donny was still a baby but he had gotten so big, he was one year old.

"He is such a beautiful little boy" Donna suddenly said caressing his little head.

"Yeah he is" Sam said

"Sam I feel terrible sometimes" she said looking, Sam looked at her in wonder "I missed a year of his life, I missed Sophie's pregnancy. I should've listen to you and not jump of that cliff. I wouldn't have missed so much" she said with tears starting to fall

Sam embraced his wife "Hey, honey listen to me. What happened was an accident. I don't blame you for anything so don't blame yourself. I have been doing it to myself these two years thinking it was my fault."

"It is not your fault that I'm way too impulsive. Ok, you're right, it was an accident and there is no one to blame. I just feel awful that so many things happened in my absence. Sophie's pregnancy, Donny's birth, my dad working here, my mom coming and reuniting with him and be with Sophie. Even my two best friends lives have change and I wasn't a part of it. Plus, you suffered so much thinking I was gone and it you didn't deserve it" Donna said, she pulled Donny to sit between her legs and caressed his little cheeks

"Donna, I know it was really hard to wake up after two years sensing the events just happened. Everyone here suffered and it was hard for us too. We had to get through it as a family  and look at the results. Sophie and I made the hotel grow to make your dream come true. She worked so hard, day and night so that you could be proud of her. Sophie balanced being a mother with rising up Hotel Bella Donna just like you did. Your daughter is so strong and hard headed just like you" Sam told her

"Except that I didn't have anyone with me. I was a single mother working hard to raise her. Sophie had Sky, you, Bill, Harry and the girls plus my parents to help her. It's still unbelievable that my mother is here. I am thankful to all of you for being here for her. I am very proud of her and of you for sticking with her. You know I love you for that. It's just that I would've liked to share every one of those moments with all of you"

Sam made Donna rest against his chest and put his arm around her "The important thing is that you're here now. You get to see Donny grow up and the hotel continue to blossom. You have time to spare to be with the ones you love"

Donna looked up to see Donny moving and crawling at his own pace up to her level. Holding himself on her chest to stand up. Sam and Donna were carefully watching him. She smiled at the baby once there eyes met. The Donny got closer and wrapped his little arms around Donna's neck. This gesture made her heart swell as she hugged him back. Sam looked at the scene in awe.

"Aaawww Donny I needed that, thank you" she said kissing his head. They spent practically all day playing with the baby.

Out of the blue Tanya and Rosie came rushing to the courtyard with a woman following "It's rehearsal time!!!" Tanya yelled. Donna giggled as she heard her best friend and stood up picking Donny up in the process.

Donna and Sam approached the dynamos "we are a little behind, the  wedding planner I hired couldn't make it so she send a back up. This is Lily" Rosie said

Donna saw the familiar face move forward and smiled "Hello stranger" she said playfully

"When my boss asked me to cover for her and come to Kalokari, I couldn't say no. I wanted it to be a surprise and see your face when I popped out" Lily chuckled

"Consider me surprised" Donna laughed lightly "It's so good to see you again Lily" she said softly

"Same here and to see that you're doing great being back with your family" Lily replied

The others looked intrigued at the exchange "You know her? How?" Rosie asked

"Lily was the one who found me floating near the Greek docks and took care of me for the two years I was in the coma. She saved my life" she explained, Lily blushed

"Oh wow" Tanya said impressed

"In that case, we owe you a lot. I am eternally grateful to you for saving and taking care of my wife. The love of my life" Sam said kissing his wife on the head and reaching his hand out.

"It was my pleasure and I am glad I did it, Donna is a really sweet person" Lily said grinning, shaking Sam's hand back "Well let's get this show on the road or we'll be more late than what we already are" they all agreed and gathered everyone for the rehearsal dinner. Everything went according to schedule and everyone had fun. Now the family was tired but excited about Bill and Rosie's big day tomorrow.
