Welcome back my beautiful people. Thought I was dead, not yet m8. I feel like this is the appropriate time to upload this. Nearly four weeks in to the 2019 seem like a pass in my eyes. I would apologies for not being active but I'm pretty sure you guys all know that its like a copy and paste machine every time I upload since I always manage to disappear for three months at a time or maybe more if I'm feeling lucky. Okay enough of this meaningless banter, lets begin with anime;)

What can I say about the surprising anime year. It started with a bang and ended with a bang too (except Tokyo Ghoul: Re). It started with Deadman Crybaby which everyone and the mom was screaming about, then to Violet Evergarden with well deserved hype and ended with Banana Fish. I could talk about so many more but I'll just talk about my favorite anime of 2018 and the worst anime of 2018 (also I'll be putting my recommendations at the end of the part 2).

Best Anime (non sequel)
Violet Evergarden deserves this award in my opinion. At first I was un sure whether or not I should watch this because it had the infamous "Netflix" plaster everywhere on it (and I don't want another death note disaster) but I'm glad to say that Kyoto Animation has done it again. With the beautiful animation and the breathtaking scenery how can you not enjoy this masterpiece. The one thing I will criticise this anime about is the weird episode choices near the end. If you seen the show, you would understand where I'm coming from. Why did Kyoto Animation, decided that the "letters to Ann" go afterward the episode after Violet learns about Gilbert's death and finally excepts it. Not to mention it was before the dramatic ending. I would think the "letters to Ann" should go before she learns about Gilbert's death. It would feel much better than what they did. But I'll just blame Netflix for that.

The opening and ending song was just fitting for this series. With all the hype that this is getting I hope Netflix doesn't decide to make a live adaptation. I have also heard there will be a movie but I hope it is not true due to the fact there isn't anything they can continue with. I wouldn't spoil anything if you haven't read the light novel but I really recommended you to read it, cause you will understand what I am coming form then. The last chapter is very important and different from the ending of the anime.
