I swung out my staff at another Symbiote that attempted to bite my head as Thor and my father fended off a few more. Neither of us had acknowledged the blonde demi-god yet, too focused on trying to stay alive. But it was nice to see him again, not only alive, but clearly more powerful. I was curious about the axe, but now really wasn't the time to ask.

I blasted back the group of Symbiotes incoming, allowing us a moment to be able to at least say hello. We all looked at each other, nodding awkwardly.

        "New haircut."

I couldn't help it. As I kicked another creature to the ground and stomped my heel on its head, I laughed at my father's non-greeting. Was there really nothing else he could think of?

"Notice you've copied my beard." My father nodded as I got a better look at Thor's face, noticing something different.

"Is one of your eyes brown?" The sentient tree creature beside me stuck its arm through three of the creatures, letting out a battle cry as it lifted them up into the air.

"Yes. By the way, this is a friend of mine. Tree." He gestured the axe toward the sentient tree.

        "I am Groot!" it cried.

"I am Steve Rogers." My father placed his hand on his chest, out of breath but still wanting to be formal.

I shook my head at him, and as it moved, my eyes caught Nat and Okoye. They were holding their ground pretty well, but with the incoming rush of Symbiotes I saw, they were going to need an extra hand.

        "Keep yourselves safe."

With that, I took to the air and quickly rushed to the women's sides, raising my staff high above my head before landing and slamming it into the ground. A large blast of red energy shot out and knocked over all the incoming Symbiotes, freeing us for a few moments.

        "Thanks, kiddo," Nat panted.

        "It's what I'm here for."

The ground suddenly began to rumble from deep underneath. As I attempted to keep my balance, my eyes darted over to the horizon, watching the trees topple down in flames as the dirt began to rise. The moment the lumps cleared the shield, five large vehicles emerged from underground, spinning with blades all along the sides. People quickly scattered as they made a beeline for the crowd of soldiers.

"Oh, my G—Aah!" I dove out of the way as one of the vehicles came straight at me, missing my wing by an inch. "Jeez."

"Focus that fire on the left flank, Sam."

"I'm doing it." I watched Sam fly by my head as I stood up and fire shots at the vehicle. It didn't stop its movement in the slightest.

I quickly went back to throwing punches with the Symbiotes, giving a few of them the quick way out by snapping their necks from afar. As more of them began to circle, I slammed my staff down and created a shield, trying to collect myself as they scratched at the surface. Just as I whipped around, the vehicles started pushing toward us. I used the shield to blast back the creatures around me then stood tall, preparing to somehow push them out of the way. They were too heavy for me, but I at least had to try.

I felt the weight as I began to lift them in the air, when suddenly, they flew up into the air, and the pressure lessened. I looked to my left to see Wanda now standing beside me, her eyes red as well. We both suspended them in the air for a moment, trying to find the best place to dispose of them. My gaze drifted behind me, where I saw a large army of Symbiotes charging for us, and an idea popped into my head. I flicked it back to get Wanda's attention, and she nodded before the two of us threw them straight into the group, causing them to crash and break down.
