"UGH!"
Heather threw the spatula across the kitchen floor after yet another failed attempt at fixing breakfast for her and Alejandro.
"Is someone dying in here?" Alejandro chuckled, walking into the room and picking up the spatula. If there was one flaw he could point out about Heather, it was that she couldn't cook. Alejandro knew that better than anybody else. And yet, he found it absolutely amusing. So technically, it...wasn't a flaw?
Heather growled and angrily snatched it out of his hands. "I was simply trying to make us scrambled eggs but they decided to freaking burn!!"
Her boyfriend raised an eyebrow. "So it's the eggs fault you can't cook?"
"I can too cook!"
"Oh yeah? When's the last time you've fixed something and it didn't burn or end up on the floor?" He asked playfully.
"Remember when you taught me how to make those pupusas?"
"You made it halfway through and Carlos offered to finish them."
"...No!" She crossed her arms. "You have it all wrong! Carlos only made it halfway through and I finished them!"
"Mi amor," he laughed. "Just give it up already. It's alright if you're a bad cook. At least one of us knows how. Otherwise we'd always have to get store-bought foods. You're welcome."
Heather glared at her boyfriend. "You can be a real ass, You know that?! I could be a better cook than you if I wanted to!"
"Alright, what if we make a deal?" Alejandro smirked slyly. "If you can fix a three course meal for all of our friends without messing up, I'll believe you're a good cook. But if not..." he hummed in thought. Then an even wider grin crossed his lips. "If you fail, you have to do whatever I say for a week."
Heather's face became scrunched up. "Ew, no! Who knows what's going on inside your perverted head?!"
"I never said it had to be anything sexual," he shrugged. "But then again, I do have a few ideas we could try..."
"And if I win, you have to do what I say! Which includes helping me shop!" Alejandro gulped. He was seriously reconsidering already. He remembered the last time Heather took him shopping with her. She was at the mall for half the freaking day and made him carry all her bags. Even if he was more likely to win, this might not even be worth the risk.
"So?" Heather interrupted his thoughts. "Are you in or are you too much of a wuss to do it?"
"No!" He replied, regaining his posture and looked at her dead in the eyes. "I'm the one who started this, after all."
"Well then prepare to eat the best meal of your life, Alejandro."
"I'll be eating something either way, baby," he winked. Heather's mouth hung slightly open and her cheeks went red.
