Chapter One: Brooke
Butterflies are destroying my stomach as I stare at my interview outfit for the day: a black pencil skirts with tights, a white blouse and a black blazer.
Yes, I know, I'm boring. But I'm not there to impress anyone. Well, apart from my maybe-to-be boss.
I glance at the clock, and it reads 7:20
Well shit...
I quickly put on my lacy white panties and bra, as I like to live life on the edge, and abruptly improve my appearance.
By the time I'm done with my hair and make-up its 7:45. Without a backwards glance, I practically sprint out of my house and try to hail a cab, as my car is being fixed.
"Taxi!" I shout and whistle. "Taxi!" I repeat, holding my arm out a waving desperately.
After a minute of pure torture, a taxi pulls in front of me. I sigh in relief as I reach for the handle, but don't make it, as I large and muscular arm grabs it first.
"Excuse me!" I'm about to snap, looking up at the ignorant and selfish person, but stop dead in my tracks.
I'm faced with the darkest eyes that I've ever seen. And call it a cliché, but it's true. I try to keep my gasp of awe to myself as much as possible, but feel like I failed.
I feel as if my eyes are on autopilot as they travel down his muscular body that has been fitted tightly into a grey suit.
His hair has that just fucked effect going on, and on anyone else, it would have looked scruffy.
His square jaw framed his perfect face. But I just knew his eyes were his main feature.
What I would do to strip him dow-
"Are you quite finished?" An amused and impatient husky voice called out to me. Immediately pulling me out of my trance.
Then I remembered why I was faced with this sexy beast.
Wait, what!!
"What do you think you're doing?!" I snap, eyes narrowed.
"Well I though it was obvious. I'm getting in this taxi." He cleverly responded, instantly getting on my nerves.
"I don't think so. I hailed this taxi, so I will be the one to get into it." I correct.
He gives me that panty dropping smirk -and when I say panty dropping, I literally mean it - and leans forward.
"Look babe, I'm in desperate need of a taxi. And I will make sure you'll never be able to hail a cab for the rest of your life if you don't let me get in with you. Got it?" He finishes with a smirk and a wink.
I don't correct him this time, as I'm exhausted and in need of coffee. "Whatever, just don't call me babe again." I mumble getting into the taxi, followed by him.
"Where do you need dropping off?" The impatient taxi driver turns towards us.
"Radcliffe Industries." We both say at the same time, both our heads snapping in each other's directions as we've said it.
"Well shit..." I whisper, making the taxi driver chuckle as he pulls away.
