Chapter 4

Jonah's POV

We arrive at my house and we both step out of our cars

Quinn: wow your house is big
Jonah: thanks?
We smile at each other and start walking to the door and before we go inside she grabs my hand. I look at her and smile again.

Me: by the way I have 4 roommates
Quinn: cool
Me: and they are crazy
Quinn: haha how bad could they be?

I open the door and let her walk in first, she stood and sees Zach with a lamp in his hand, corbyn upside down on the sofa, jack on the floor and Daniel screaming "why isn't the toaster working" even though it isn't plugged in.

Quinn: wow
Me: told you

Zach quickly drops the lamp, corbyn quickly sits up , jack quickly gets off the floor and Daniel keeps trying to figure out why the toaster isn't working while the rest of the boys stare at us. Quinn and I look at each other then break out into laughter.

Daniel walks up to us

Me: this is Daniel , Daniel this is quinn
Daniel: yeah, yeah, yeah, Quinn do you know how to work a toaster?
Quinn: um yeah
She walks over to it and all the boys watch her plug it in and it turns on

Daniel: shes magic!!!!
Zach: how?
Jack: we've been trying to get that thing to work for an hour
Quinn: hahaha, it's my magic touch
Corbyn: I like her
Me : the blonde is corbyn , the poodle is jack, the 3 year old is Zach and you already know Daniel
Quinn: nice to meet you
Zach runs over to her
Zach:  you're pretty
He closely examines her face
Me: um ok well let's go over there

I grab her hand and we walk to the sofa

Corbyn: when did you meet her? And how?
Jonah: I met her today, if she wants to tell you how she can, but if she doesn't want to then no

All the boys put their eyes on Quinn

Quinn: um- I
Me: maybe you guys will find out later, nows not the time
Jack: don't get me wrong I already like Quinn, but why is she here?
Me: Jack!!
Jack: what, I wasn't trying to be rude but I'm curious , so?
Me: she's here because I said so and she's staying
Jack: dude I never said she couldn't stay I was just asking why?
Zach runs over to her again, grabs her hand and pulls her upstairs

Quinn's POV

I'm upstairs with Zach in what I think is his room and I'm not sure why he brung me up here.

Me: hey
Zach: hi
Me: you are the 3 year old right?
Zach: rudeeee haha I'm 17
We both laugh
Me: so why did you bring me up here?
Zach: well, I want a new friend and I know they do too but I want to be your best friend, so I have to get to know you
Me: aii sure
Zach: so how old are you?
Me: 18, turning 19 next week
Zach: that's the perfect age
Me: huh?
Zach: you are the perfect age to date any of the five of us

I look at Zach and just laugh
Me: ok, cool

We end up talking for an hour and then decide to go downstairs

Jack: ooooh what were you guys doing up there?

Zach's POV

I feel a blush creep onto my face so I turn away and turn back, noticing Jonah looks annoyed. I think he might like Quinn and think something happened between us.

Me: we were just talking
Jack: oh
Corbyn: let's play truth or dare to get to know you better, Quinn

All the boys agree

Jack: me first, me first
Quinn, truth or dare

Quinn: truth
Jack: who is the most attractive guy in this room?
Quinn: really?
Jack: yup
Quinn: well I know who the cutest is and who the most handsome is
Jack: say both
Quinn: Zach is the cutest

I blush and look at Jonah, who looks extremely angry

Quinn: cuz he's like a little boy

My blush goes away and Jonah smiles, I'm a little offended but it was also kinda funny

Quinn: and the most handsome is Jonah

Jonah grins
Daniel: rude
Quinn: haha sorry
Quinn: truth or dare , Daniel?
Corbyn: how about we just play truth because we want to get to know each other
Quinn: ok, do you like anyone
Daniel: I like everyone
Quinn: no, I mean do you have a crush on anyone?
Daniel: no
Daniel: Jonah, why is she staying here

Jonah looks at Quinn and she nods saying he can tell them

Jonah: well, she's here so I can protect her from some people
Quinn: people? Person
Jonah: people
Quinn glares at him as if she knows what he means and doesn't like it , but she brushes it off.
Zach: what do you mean?
Quinn: he's my ex, I broke up with him because he used to abuse me and after that he went even more insane then he already was and he's been after me for a while
Jonah: I didn't know that, I just knew that he was trying to force her to go with him
Corbyn: is that how you guys met?
Quinn: no
Jonah: corbyn, are you and Cristina still together?
Corbyn: no
Corbyn: Zach, do you like Quinn?
Me:yes, she's my best friend
Corbyn: not like that
Me: oh, no I think she is really funny, pretty and kind but I haven't known her long enough, if we keep hanging out I probably will start to like her like that

Quinn: "I like it like that!!!"
All of us look at her
Quinn: what, it's a song
We all start laughing

Me: Quinn, do you like Jonah?
Quinn: yes

Jonah smiles

Me: like a crush?
Quinn: I'm not sure yet, maybe and I don't even mean it in the way that maybe means yes, I actually don't know
Me: ok

Quinn: Jonah, do you like me
Everyone looks shocked that Quinn asked cuz usually one of us would ask
Jonah: as a crush?
Quinn: yes
Everyone looks even more shocked
Jonah: kind of
Quinn smiles and playfully winks at him and everyone laughs again
Jonah: let's all just ask each other questions instead of going in order

Everyone agrees

Jack: Quinn, what's your biggest secret
Quinn: um...
Jack: you don't have to tell all of us, you could just tell one of us
Quinn: ok, but I don't know who to choose
Daniel: we all know it will either an Zach or Jonah
Quinn: actually it won't be either of them
Corbyn: but you're closest to them
Quinn: and that is exactly why I don't want to tell them
Daniel: can you al least tell all of us why it's not the people who you're closest to
Quinn: sure, it's cuz Zach is too happy and innocent and Jonah knows the person it's about and I don't want him to do anything irrational
Jack: oh, I get it now
Zach: I'm not innocent
Quinn: maybe not, but you're still a child
Zach: rude
