Loving A Luthor

Chapter Two

Kara immediately stands up upon hearing the news. "I have to go!"

"Be safe." Alex said.

Kara quickly changed into her super suit and flew out of the big open window of her apartment and towards the LuthorCorp building. When she got there, she landed on Lena's balcony but couldn't see the girl. The flames and smoke were too thick. She'd have to put them out before she searched for the girl.

Taking a deep breath, Supergirl blows out the ice that stops the fire in its place. She touched down on Lena's balcony again and moved into the girls office.

Lena lay on the floor in the middle of the room unmoving.

Kara rushed over. "Lena." She dropped down beside the younger girl. "Lena, please." She gently shook the younger girl's shoulder being gently on the exposed skin that had burns on it. "Breathe, Lena, so I know you're alive."

Lena let out a tiny gasp for clean are but didn't open her eyes.

Kara let out a breath and slowly picked Lena up.

"Supergirl?" Lena breathes out, burying her face in Kara's neck.

"I've got you, Lena. I'm here. You're going to be alright." Kara said calmly, she carried Lena to the balcony and took off to the sky. "Let's get you to the hospital."

Lena relaxes in her arms.

Kara touched down outside the hospital and rushed in. "Help, I need a doctor." She called as the younger girl lost consciousness again.

A doctor rushes over but suddenly stops upon seeing who the patient is. "I can't help her."

"What? Why not?" Kara frowned. "She needs help."

"She's a Luthor." The doctor responds.

"So?" Kara said. "She needs help."

Lena gasped for air and suddenly began seizing in Kara's arms.

"I'll help." A doctor says immediately, rushing over.

Kara was in shock, she didn't know what to do.

"Move her over to this bed." The doctor says softly.

Kara did as she was instructed and lay Lena, who was still seizing, on the bed.

"Can you save her?" Kara asks immediately.

"I can try, Supergirl." The doctor said.

Nodding her head, Kara takes a deep breath. "Please do."

Lena's body suddenly stilled on the bed and Kara had to use her super hearing to make sure the girl's heart was still beating.

A sigh of relief escapes her upon realizing she was breathing.

"Miss Luthor, can you hear me?" The doctor said.

Lena's eyes slowly opened slightly and a soft groan left her mouth.

Kara decides now would be the best time for her to leave. She'd come back when she actually was Kara. She backed away from the bed slowly and disappeared out of the door but not before she could hear Lena mumble 'supergirl' before she passed out again. A soft smile crossed Kara's face and she jumped up into the sky.

"How'd it go?" Alex asks, looking at her sister.

Kara sighed as she changed back into her regular clothes. "I barely saved her. When I got there, I had to put the flames out immediately and when I found her, she was covered in burns. I got her to the hospital and she had a seizure. Alex, I'm worried. Scared for her."
