Chapter Three: New Team member!

A/N: I said I was going to make this more proper and I am. This IS NOT going to be as long as the first and second chapters. This is Grace's POV the whole time so, yeah.. Sorry if it seems a bit sad I just wanted to explain some of Grace's feelings as a child.. :/

"Grace Daeth Ashurnae" I say with confidence.

"Well.. Grace Daeth, We're honored to have you at our school," Maka says stepping closer to me holding out her hand. I shake her hand. 'They're so nice to me.'

"No, The Pleasure is all mine." I smile and giggle.

Kid buds in, 'Kid is really cute I thought about it a lot when I cared for him.. I hope he doesn't freak out because I'm asymetrical or something!' "Let's head back to the DWMA. I think father is waiting for our return," he holds out his hand. I take his hand as he leads everyone out.

We start walking into the death room. Next thing I hear.

"Hia! Hello! How ya doin? Good to see ya Grace!" Lord Death explains in a happy motion.

"Good to see you, Lord Death!" I step foward, smile and hold both my hands together behind me.

Kid steps next to me, "She completed the mission."

I stopped, "No, Lord Death, I took care of the Arachnines. They took care of Mosquito." I blushed a little. Kid tried to make it seem like I completed it. That's sweet.

"She mostly took care of Mosquito, we just finished him," Kid continued.

"Lord deat-"

"Stop. I've heard enough!" He interupted me, "Mostly because I watched it from the point that Kid, Maka, and Black Star got there! Grace, you earned that mission. You get all the souls YOU destroyed."

"Yes Lord Death."

"Grace"

"Yes, Lord Death?" Kid looked at his father then me impatiently.

"You do realize how many souls you have, now, right?" he stared at me blankly.

"Yes, sir! If it's all of them I have a total of 98 Kishin Souls." I raised my voice as I said it! I finally got 98 souls.

"But! Did you use your full potential getting those Souls?" He asks putting a finger on his head.

"No, sir I didn't," I lowered my head to where it was facing the floor.

"Ok, then it's settled! Your souls will be confiscated and you will join Kid, Maka, and Black Star's team."

My heart dropped. I fell on my knees. I couldn't hear anything, nothing but my heartbeat. I saw Maka and Kid and Tsubaki run up to me. They were talking, but I couldn't hear them. I got ahold of myself. I started to hear them.

"Grace!" I can barely hear Tsubaki.

"Grace say somethig do something, please!" Kid says as my hearing fades again.

"Grace stay with us please stay with us," I hear Maka faintly say.

All of a sudden everything is normal. I can see clear. I start hearing clear.

"Grace, are you ok?" I hear Soul say.

"Yea, Yea I'm fine," I say as I get up slowly and stumble. 'Why are they so worried, they barely know me!'

"Are You Sure you're alright?" I hear Liz actually concerned, "Patti come here lts help her walk."

"OK Big Sis!" Liz goes to my left arm and Patti goes to my right. 'What happened?'

"Do you have anywhere to stay?" Maka asks as she comes next to me.

"I've been staying in the school's 'Dungeon Dorms'."

Kid walks to the other side of me and says, "You can't be serious!" I just nod.

Maka speaks up, "Then you'll stay with us!"

"Huh?" I hear Soul say. I smile.

"Liz, Patti we're outside the school, and I have my balance. I don't need your help anymore," I smile at both of them. They put me down as they smile back. Soul and Maka are on the first step going down. Both of them holding a hand towards me. I giggle and take their hands and walk down the stairs by their sides. I look behind me and at the top of the staircase are my friends. I see Black Star smiling. I see Tsubaki smiling, Liz, Patti, and Kid. His smile made me smile the biggest. We started walking towards Maka and Soul's house when we all turned and waved by for the night. This is the first time I have been alone in my life, even as a child. I finally have people who rightfully care about me...
