Flash forward a few years to the summer before sophomore year of high school. Archie's crush on Jughead has only gotten bigger through the years and he's been practicing football and music. Jughead has been focusing on writing stories for the school newspaper the blue and gold. Betty had just come back from an internship in New York where she got to meet her favorite author Toni Morrison. As for the group of three musketeers, they added two new musketeers over the years: Kevin Keller, son of the sheriff as well everyone's gay best friend and Cheryl Blossom, Riverdale's HBIC and River Vixen captain.
The gang met one night at everyone's favorite place to go: Pop's Chocklit Shoppe. Cheryl apparently had an invitation for everyone and she was the one that had asked everyone to meet at their usual booth. After everyone sat down in the booth and reminisced on what they did over the summer, Cheryl decided to tell the reason why she asked them to come.
"There's a reason why I asked you guys to come. Tomorrow night, I'm throwing a back to school/ Labor Day party at Thorn Hill to celebrate our last night of summer break before starting sophomore year and you're all invited. And we will be playing everyone's favorite game.. 7 minutes in heaven because I'm in the mood for chaos" Cheryl said as a smirk crossed her red lips.
"You know I'll be there" Kevin said.
"Me too. I need a welcome distraction before it's back to getting straight a's" Betty said smiling sweetly.
"I'm in as long as there's food" Jughead said before eating his hamburger.
"I'll go too" Archie said before glancing at Jughead. 'Is it just me or did he get hotter since last year?' he thought to himself sort of day dreaming.
"Great! The party starts at 7 pm. Don't be late" Cheryl said as she looked at Archie and Jughead. 'The chaos is definitely for those two' she thought smirking to herself. The gang laughed and talked for a while before going home.
The next night at 7 pm the party was starting at Thorn Hill. Betty, Kevin, Archie, Jughead and other people from school were waiting in the parlor as Cheryl made her entrance known. "Okay ragamuffins. Welcome to the annual back to school/ labor day party hosted by moi. Let's get this party started with a game of 7 minutes in heaven. Archie Andrews, you look like you want to go first" she said as she leaned toward the bottle to spin it.
"D- do I?" Archie said looking around then looking at Jughead. 'The bottle better pick him' he thought to himself looking at the bottle. "Fuck it, I'll go. You only live once right?"
"Okay. Let's see who will be riding the ginger stallion tonight" Cheryl said before spinning the bottle. The bottle spun for what seemed like a long time before finally landing on Jughead. Jughead looked at the bottle then at Archie with a scared look in his eyes. "Alright, boys. Get in the closet and remember.... you only have 7 minutes"
