A/N HOLY CRAP HOW DID THIS GET TO 3K LIKES?!?!?!?!?! Thank y'all so much, here is a bonus chapter!

Nikki P.O.V.

I pace around the backstage wondering where Eric was. This was my big performance, the end of the year college one actually. He has never missed a single one, yet he isn't here.

Panic starts to ride in my chest. My boyfriend of three years and best friend since birth isn't here. He is the person that I need the most right now to comfort me.

"Nikki Bird, you are on in five minutes." The stage manager knocks on my dressing room door.

I take a deep breath. He isn't here. He isn't here.

I head to the stage wing as my name is called to go on stage. I head out and take my starting position.

The music starts to play and I close my eyes as I start to dance to the music, the way I've done so many times before.

As the music comes to the end after a few minutes, I open my eyes and look out to the audience. I do a final spin then take my ending position.

No applause. There has never been no applause. I start to panic until I feel a hand on my waist.

I look over and down to find Eric on his knee and his hand on my waist to keep me calm.

I take a breath, what was happening?

Eric gives me a small smile that I return. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small black velvet box, causing my hands to fly up to my mouth and my eyes to brim with tears.

"Nikki." Eric starts, looking obviously nervous. "You were my first crush, and without realizing it at the time my first love." He took a breath. "We have known each other since birth, and it feels like you were always the one I was destined to be with. So Nikki Bird, will you change your name to Nikki Colton and marry me?"

He opened the box at the last part, but before he could finish I tackled him to the ground. "Yes! Yes! A thousand times yes!" I yell, a giant smile on my face.

We lean in and as our lips touch the audience burst into applause.

Today was a better day than I thought it would be, and soon I am going to be marrying my best friend.

We pull apart and exit the stage hand in hand, smiles never leaving our faces.
