A/N - you made it... Here's your chapter folks:

We walked in silence back to his office. I wasn't really sure what to say. He is annoying me now. Let's just leave. I want ice cream on the way home. I rolled my eyes and went to the couch instead of sitting in the chair again. He was too busy looking at my resume to notice. Okay, this is good too. Take off all your clothes and let's rub ourselves on it.

"You won an award from your university?" He murmured. I yawned and sat back.

"Yeah. This other girl was more involved with committees, so she got the valedictorian position for our department, but I had the highest marks." I explained. He looked at me with a surprised glance. I shrugged. "It's all a popularity contest these days."

"Popularity doesn't get the work done." He said sagely. I nodded in agreement.

"Not having it though apparently makes people think they can backstab you." I remarked. The room fell silent again.

"You are probably tired. Do you want to..." He was interrupted by a knock on the door. We both looked at it in confusion. I got up and straightened myself so I wouldn't embarrass him. "Can you get that?" He asked instead.

"Sure." I walked over and opened the door. It was Vivian, and she looked shocked to see me still here. "Ah, it's her again."

"Alright, send her in." He said with a sigh. I opened the door further and walked back over to his desk. I took a seat in the chair. She walked in slowly, staring at me the whole time.

"Mr. Worthington. Have you had a chance to go over the names I gave you yet?" She asked cautiously. He didn't look at her, engrossed in the papers in front of him.

"Yes I have, Miss Gunther." He answered blandly. She stood awkwardly next to the chairs, since he did not invite her to sit. The silence stretched out for a bit while she shifted from foot to foot.

"And?" She finally gave up waiting in her impatience for an answer. He looked up at her like he forgot that she was still in the room.

"None of them will suit." He told her. He shoved the folder of names and resumes back at her across the desk. They might have fallen if she had not reached out to catch them as they slid. She blanched a little as she clutched the folder to her chest.

"Oh. I... ah... I will put together a new list for you as soon...." She fumbled a little and tried to sit down.

"No need. Did I say you could sit?" He narrowed his eyes at her and she froze. Oh fuck me sideways I love this guy. Take that bitch. Ahahaha! I watched with that mild smile on my face at the proceedings.

"S-s-sorry sir. You r-really need a new list though, so you can p-pick a personal assistant." She stuttered out as she stood there.

"No I don't. I have already picked someone." He announced. I looked over sharply in surprise. He was grinning and looking at her with a dark face. She looked confused.

"I don't understand. I thought you said none of them would do?" She asked carefully. "Who did you pick?"

"Him." He said, looking over at me. My mouth dropped open for a split second before snapping shut again.

"What?" She blurted out. Oh fuck. Look at her face. It looks like she is going to burst. I pinched together my lips to keep from laughing, or crowing with joy.

"You are looking at my new personal assistant." He declared, pointing to me.

"But he wasn't on the list?" She argued. We both looked at her like she was crazy. What a fucking moron.

"Which makes me wonder, Miss Gunther. Why was a long time employee, with an exemplary resume and background, not on this list?" He turned back to her with a pinning glare. She trembled a little and gulped.

"He, uh, has a few complaints against him on file." She tried to cover herself with the words. He made a snorting sound that shocked me. Wow. This is better than the movies.

"Right. Except one of them is baseless, and the other is personal opinion. I am, however, curious why his recommendations didn't seem to be on file. Do you know why that may be, Miss Gunther?" I was trying so hard not to giggle like a loon. Fuck, now I want popcorn. Maybe some sour candies too. Shhh.

"Uh, they, uh, must have gotten misplaced?" She fumbled with a blush. What? The stupid bitch didn't think I would have copies of those? Let's kidnap her and peel her skin off with a spoon. What? What? That's disgusting. So? We were both looking at her like she was stupid.

"Good thing Denis here had copies for me to look at. Now that that is settled. Denis, I will see you in my office tomorrow morning. If you could start at seven thirty instead of eight, that would be great. We can make a list of all the things we will need so you can order them from Supplies." He smiled at me and I nearly sighed with satisfaction.

"Thank you Richie. I will see you tomorrow." I chirped cheerfully. Then I got up, ignoring her dumbfounded look, and made my way out the door. I could hear him start to chew her out before I got a step from the door and was smiling so wide my mouth hurt. Ah fuck that is satisfying. Almost better than sex. Naw, I'm joking. Nothing is better than a good dicking.
