HIS BROKEN MELODY
Nanginig ang mga labi ko ng hinugot ko ang blade na nakadiin sa pulso ko. Pinunasan ko ang mga dugo gamit ang tissue. I can still feel the pain. Unconsciously, I smiled. Pakiramdam ko nakontento ako sa sakit na naramdaman ko. Nanghihina kong pinunasan ang mga luha ko.
Then the ring bells, tapos na ang first subject. I can't attend classes on my situation. Lumabas ako sa cubicle at tinitigan ang sarili ko sa salamin.
Sobrang putla, this is not me. I know, but what can I do? I can't stop myself from doing bad things.
Napaigtad ako ng maramdaman ang hapdi sa sugat ng madampian ito ng tubig. I need to clean the blood. After cleaning the wound, I put my wrist band once again to hide my cuts. Napakagat labi ako habang dinadama ang kirot ng sugat ko.
I stayed inside the CR for the whole day. I sighed before leaving the CR, and went to the gate.
A familiar man waived at me. It was Uno. Nanliit ang mata ko habang inaalala kung may usapan ba kami. And then my eyes got widened when I remembered I said yes to him when he was asking me out.
Shit I'm in trouble. My wounds are still aching. I won't let him notice and see my wounds. I don't want to.
"Kelsey", he smiled. I stilled when I saw his smiles. There is something on it that takes my breath away. He is so handsome.
"Can I go home? Let's reschedule this next time?", Kinakabahang sabi ko. Nangunot ang noo nya at umiling sakin.
"I want it today",
"But I don't want to",
"You already said yes",
"Can't I change my mind?",
"No. We will go out today", he said.
"But we are already out", I said carefully and roamed my eyes around. We are now outside of the school campus. He look at me dumbfounded.
"Are you kidding me?", He said, like he can't believe that I said those words. Like I'm an alien. Seriously?
"Do I look like kidding you?", I groaned. He also groaned and rubbed his nose. His gesture made him look cute.
"Let's just start this date", he groaned more.
"Why don't we just end it?", I said.
"Seriously?!", Now he is frustrated.
"On the first place, why did you ask me out?", I asked.
"Am I not allowed to asked you out?", He mocked. I pouted my lips and put my hands on my back.
"I'm just curious, why. We just met then you asked me out. And take note that you were a transferee", I stated.
"Curiosity kills the cat, Kelsey", he said.
"Cat have nine lives so it's okay", I giggled. He shook his head and sighed.
"Let's go", he said. I nodded and let myself followed him.
I'm just staring on his back while walking. Tumitigil sya sa paglakad after few minutes and then he will walk again. Nag eenjoy akong panoorin ang likod nya kaya naman nasa likuran nya lang ako nakasunod.
Nangunot ang noo ko ng iritado nyang ginulo ang buhok nya at biglang humarap sakin.
"You", he breathed heavily. Like he is calming his self. Cute..
"What are you doing?", He asked softly. I know he is suppressing his irritation.
"Following you",
"Why are you following me?!",
"Ow, do you want me to go home instead?", I asked. Matalim nya akong tinitigan. Napangiti ako ng lihim.
"No! Why can't you just walk here with me!",

"But you are on my back, I want you here beside me!",

"Then why are you yelling?",
"You're just so annoying!",
"As far as I remembered you find me adorable.",

"Andami mong tanong", sabay hila sa kamay ko. Nanlaki Ang mata ko, thanks God hindi yung may sugat ang hinawakan nya. I felt his warm hand on my hand. It really felt good.
I blinked twice when he brought me to a park. Amusement Park.
"Really? We'll date here?", I groaned.
"What? It's fun here", he grinned.
"We're not a kid anymore",
"Yep we're not but you're acting like one", he chuckled.
"Excuse me?!", I gaped at him.
"Dadaan ka?", He laughed. Inis kong inalis ang pagkakahawak nya sa kamay ko.
"You're turning red", amusement was evident on his eyes. I stared at him darkly.
"Ow someone is mad at me", he said playfully.
"You're annoying!", I gritted my teeth. His smiles fell and look at me intently.
"You are beautiful.", he whispered. "Breathtakingly beautiful", he added. Nanigas ako sa kinatatayuan ko at napasinghap. I suddenly felt something on my stomach, and my heart suddenly beats fast.
Umiwas ako ng tingin at napansin nya yun. Nahihiya ako.
Mas lalo akong nahiya ng marinig ko ang halakhak nya.
"You're enjoying this huh", I mocked. He smiled wider.
"I guess this is my new hobby starting today", he smiled gently.
"Huh?", I asked.
"My new hobby, Kelsey.", He shook his head and laughed.
"What is your new hobby", I asked, curiousity strikes.
"You", he smiled. I groaned and stared at him darkly once again.
"You're making me your new hobby?! Are you insane?!", Inis kong sabi. He then burst out laughing.
"Making you blushed is now my new hobby. And among all of my hobbies..", he paused and stared on my eyes. "You are my favorite.", He added.
Biglang bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko. What's the meaning of this?! Tumalikod ako at sinapo ang mukha ko, I heard him chuckled.
I was about to talk when my phone rings.
Babe calling...
I was stunned. Yes, right. I have a boyfriend so why do I feel something towards Uno. Am I cheating? No, I love my boyfriend. Uno won't make me cheat.
"I'll just answer this", I excused myself. He nodded while looking at me seriously.
"Babe!?", I called.
"I will miss you babe", he sighed.
"I will miss you more", I felt sad knowing that he'll be out of the country now.
"I'm already at the airport", he breathed heavily. "I will really miss you.", He said.
"Don't make me cry please", I bit my lips to stop myself from sobbing.
"I will meet you when I come back. I promise", he said.
"I love you", he added. I hesitated to said the same thing. Sinulyapan ko si Uno, he is still staring at me. And I was lost on his eyes once again.
"Babe?", My boyfriend asked.
"Y-yes?", Nauutal kong sabi.
"I said I love you",
"I-i l-love you t-too", I whispered. He chuckled and bid his goodbye and said he will go now. I hurriedly dropped the call and faced Uno. I cleared my throat.
"Done?", He asked. I nodded.
"Good. Now give your time to me.", He said darkly. I blinked my eyes.
"Im already giving you my time",
"You really know how to make me insane huh", he grinned. Inirapan ko sya.
"Tara bili tayo ng pagkain", he said.
I yelped in pain when he holds my pulse that has fresh cuts. Nanlaki ang mata ko at bahagyang umatras habang hawak hawak ang pulso.
"W-what...", I saw how he gulped.
"It's not what I'm thinking right?", He asked. I shook my head and started stepping backward.
"Answered me honestly, Kelsey!", He commanded. He pulled my waist closer and trapped me between his arms. Nakayuko lang ako, I don't want to look at him. Palagay ko maiiyak ako.
"Please tell me it's not what I'm thinking", his voice sounds vulnerable right now. Biglang lumambot ang puso ko. I don't want to hear his vulnerable voice. Panay lang ang iling ko at pilit kumawala sa mga braso nya. I kept on denying it. But I know he already knows it.
Mariin nyang hinawakan ang braso ko at dahan dahang tinanggal ang wrist band ko. Bigla akong nanghina, not because of the wound but because of his expression that really broke my heart. Pain, hatred.
"What are you doing to yourself, Kelsey..", his hands trembled as well as his voice.
I sighed and calmed myself.
"I'm okay, Uno", I smiled. I felt like crying right now.
"Don't say you're okay even though you are not!", Tumaas ang boses nya. May taong napapatingin samin, but we really don't care.
"Do I have a choice?", I asked painfully. "Even though I'd say I'm not okay, will it change everything?", I smiled. My lips are already trembling.
"I don't have any choice Uno", I added. He shook his head and hugged me tightly.
"Kapag nasasaktan ka umiyak ka, but don't hurt yourself. Please, alagaan mo naman ang sarili mo", he whispered. And hugged me tighter.
"I am tired taking care of myself", I whispered back.
"Then allow me, Kelsey..", he said. He pulled off our hug and stared at me intently.
"Huh?", I asked.
"Allow me to take care of you. To be with you. To be your crying shoulder. Please give me permission to stay with you.", He said seriously. Na para bang ibubuwis nya ang buhay nya para sakin. For the first time in my life, someone told me the words that I've been dying to hear. With his sincerity and gently voice. It made me so emotional that why my tears suddenly fell. Sunod sunod ang tulo ng mga luha ko.
I looked at him while my tears are falling, I smiled. A gently smiles from my lips. My real smiles. Finally, I smiled without faking it.
At hindi ko inaakalang sa isang taong kakakilala ko palang ang masasabihan ko ng..
"Please do take care of me", lumakas ang hagulhol ko after saying those words.
I said those words to the guy who's infront of me. To the first guy who showed me his sincerity and his wholeheartedly concern about my situation.
He smiled and hugged me once again. I heard him saying thank you.
