Chapter 8

Lanette got suspended for one day. Anasia got expelled because she was caught pulling out a knife on Lanette. Nobody saw it until she pulled it out on Lanette and a teacher got a scrape on their arm. Charlotte and I walked to the exit of the school at the end of the day. "I wonder why Lanette tackled her?" Asked Charlotte. I thought for a minute. " I'm not sure." Charlotte gasped and ran towards the classroom. I gave her a funny look. "Keep going! I forgot something!" I laughed and turned around and nearly slammed into Gabe.

"Gabe!" I said. "Hey..." He said and blushed. We looked at each other for a minute. "So... I was looking for you earlier..." I said. "Yeah.... Me too." He answered. He mumbled something. "What did you say?" I asked. He took a deep breath. "Will you go to the fun fair with me? Like as a date?" I smiled. "Yeah, sure! I hope you don't mind if my sister comes along though." He gasped and smiled. "You guys made up?" I smiled really big and nodded. "That's awesome!" Charlotte came back. "I'm here! Hello... Person I don't really know..."

"It's Gabe... I've known you since Pre-K." Gabe said, trying to cover his annoyance. "Aw come on guys! Don't ruin this happy ending!" I say, laughing.

Anasia is out of our lives, My sister and I made up, and Gabe finally expressed his true feelings towards me! I believe this has been a good school year so far! Other than evil plots, one big fight, and a suspension... Well, Charlotte was going to finish her project by herself but I asked Mrs. Smith if she could have part in my already finished project, and she gladly said yes! There's just one more thing...

I went to the fair with Gabe and my sister yesterday, and we had a ball. So the next day at school, I chased down Lanette.

"Hey! Slow down!" I called. Lanette gave me a funny look. "Um... Yeah?" She asked, and stopped.

"So!" I cleared my throat. It was weird seeing Lanette without that dirty look I normally get from her. "What happened with Anasia? You went crazy! It was awesome though..." I said, and Lanette laughed. It was a pretty laugh, she'd be the person I would want to make laugh and smile.

"Oh, I hate her! When I was younger, she literally stole my best friend. I've been upset since. So... You don't see me smile too much... Anyway, I was kind of happy I got a girl as a partner, not to mention a twin sister of someone, so I thought 'maybe two new friends!' But then you made it sound like you would never be partners with someone like me and that we would never be friends. So I pulled an attitude and became a horrible partner."

I blushed. "Wow... I'm really sorry I treated you like that. Well, you can definitely hang out with Charlotte and I. We could all be a group of friends." She smiled. "I'd like that."
