I wrote this instead of sleeping. I know, I get that I have a TON other stories I could have continued but why make a new one you ask? I have no fudging clue as well. So might as well just stick with it, I guess? 😅😅
"I mean, can you believe that guy?! If you're gonna go that far you could've at least given a warning or something!"
"Mhm."
"I get it. He's got urges, and so do I. But that still doesn't change the fact that he went full overdrive there!"
"Hmm."
"And I said, " boy if I ever see your face around these parts of town I'd"- hey!"
"Yeah?"
"Are you even listening to me?!"
Cherri only nodded, swirling her drink in slow circular motions. Angel huffed, "Ah, geez! Can't you at least throw some side commentaries?!" He groaned, "I mean, I'm not the only one suppose to be talking here!"
"Angel." She began, "let me just say it this way, okay?" Cherri leaned back in her seat and sigh, "you're a fucking disaster. Ya hear? And the only solution that can CURE this said DISASTER is... You already know what I mean." Making sure she emphasised the needed words, she then took a long sip from her glass and regarded him with a raiser brow, indicating for him to continue.
Angel grumbled and slam his face on the counter top, the bartender who had been observing them from quite sometime flinched. Cherri paid the bartender no mind only having her attention on Angel alone. She felt pity for the spider demon, and if she were honest she felt entirely sick of it. She understood Angel completely, no lie. But sometimes, she just doesn't get what truly is swimming in and on about their head.
Cherri sigh once more and turned to the bartender, tapping her glass for a refill. The bartender immediately retrieved a bottle from the shelf behind him and uncorked it. Once filled, she took no hesitation to swallow it up in one go. Slamming the small glass down, she left a 50 on the top and left the bar. Not without dragging her demon pal out alongside with her.
Along the journey back to the hotel, Cherri turned to him, "just go and get some sleep or whatever. And stop dwelling on previous events already. I swear its getting more and more annoying as time grows on." Angel could only nod and grumble his dissatisfaction. Cherri was fine with it as long as he doesn't start rambling.
Once they've reached the main entrance, Cherri gave him one last pat in the back then turned and left. Angel petulantly entered the building and quietly shut the door behind and him, not wanting to wake anyone up. He dragged his feet towards the kitchen, the need for a glass of water began swimming in his thoughts. He regretted taking a greedy amount of alcohol into his system. He could feel his brain rattling violently, his sights and focus began to fuzz, he could almost taste the bile that he has been holding in for quite some time and the slugging movement of his body did not seem to make it any better. He felt his throat gone more drier when he entered the main room. He walked pass the kitchen counters and didn't even realise a certain demon occupying one of the tall chairs.
"Late again, I see?"
Angel jumped and did a 360 head turn, both eyes landed on familiar crimson hues. Angel groaned loudly, twisting his head back into place and proceeded to achieve his original plans. "Thought you were asleep."
Alastor crackled humorously, "my dear, I do not sleep. As you can tell." He watched as the spider demon reached for a glass in one of the shelves but it slipped between his grasp and fell onto the tiled floor, shattering it into millions of fragments. "Shit!" Angel cursed, and kneeled down to pick up the broken pieces. Alastor tutted and shake his head in mock disappointment, "clumsy, clumsy Angel. I wonder how Charlie could even put up with you?" Angel ignored him and muttered curses under his breath. He felt one of the glass pricking into his skin, blood slowly blooming in its wake. Angel sighed but continued on.
The scent of faint blood was fast enough to reach the radio demon's nose. His ears twitched in delight, "you're injured." He lowly stated, eyeing Angel sharply from the back of his head. Angel could feel his intense gaze piercing him immensely, he squirmed internally under the demon's gaze but still refused to turn.
"Hasn't anyone told you that it's quite rude to ignore someone when they are talking." He could hear the smirk dancing on his lips. Angel scoffed, "hasn't anyone told you that staring is rude?"
"Touché."
After everything was gathered, he slowly stood and discarded all of the glass shards into a waste bin. "How incompetent." He heard Alastor chuckled mockingly. Angel could feel his blood boiling, he gripped both hands into tight fists and yelped when he realized that he had applied pressure to one of his small wound.
Angel took two long strides towards the sink and washed the blood away. "Here." He jumped back when a plaster was handed in front of his face. Alastor had moved from the counter to his side and surprisingly taking Angel off guard. He didn't even heard nor did he noticed him move. Hesitantly, he slowly accepted the plaster and continued to tend his wound.
"Thanks." Angel mumbled audibly then turned to face him. Alastor was a few inches shorter than him, but he wasn't going to lie he did looked better at this angle. Alastor nodded and turned towards the door. He stopped when he was an arm's length near the doorway that connected the main room and the kitchen. "Care to join me out in the balcony, my dear?" He spoke politely. No malice nor mockery was present in his tone. Angel blinked for a few moment, and then he spoke nervously, "yeah, sure, I guess?"
Alastor didn't turn, but Angel could feel the other smiling as he walked out of the room. He swore as soon as Alastor turned, he heard him humming a soft tune and along it a soft muttered verse was lightly sang, "-what a waste of lovely night~" Angel could only stare at the doorway before he felt his entire body began to bloom a healthy shade of pink.
"What the fuck...?" Was all that he could muster.
