_chapter 2 ~ samuels first mission_

Two day time skip

Brooklyn's P.O.V
Ever since 4157 came bad things started happening, I've spent three days in the cage and I hate it, I'm only 4 it's my 5th birthday in 6 days I don't really count down for my birthday, I don't really care about it the same as my mum does, She's the one that reminds me. I don't really get why people celebrate birthdays your one year older, but why is it so important?
I guess it's something I don't get cause I'm still young.
Sleeping in the cage is annoying and I hate it, there's no pillows, no blankets, no proper food just sludge they feed to the people they torture, I didn't deserve this... I don't think...

5 days time skip
My birthday is tomorrow and I don't think I'm going to get any good food from mum this year. Bummer, I kinda want some actual food too...

"2140."

A voice knocked me out of my thoughts. I look over to see a male, I haven't seen him before.

"Your sentence in the cage has been changed you are to follow me."

As I followed the man I noticed the man looked slightly different to the HYDRA soldiers who wore a chip in their necks this guy didn't have one, I couldn't sense one in Him using my powers, so I tested him.

"как солдат"
(It actually means how/like Soldier but in correct English it's "How is the soldier")

The man replied in English.
"He is good"

This man wasn't of HYDRA if you converse with any guards or soldiers they have to beat you as part of regulation.

I kicked this man to the ground and froze his feet to the ground. I don't use my powers often but in a situation like this I didn't know what to do.
My strongest of my powers is the liquid(ice) and heat(fire) manipulation. Guards came rushing into the room requesting that I leave with them these guards I knew were HYDRA I've seen them around. I follow the guards into a black SUV and get into the back. There are 4 guards in the back with me and the begin to cuff me, "normal" people need only one on each wrist but I need two because if I get too worked up my powers become uncontrollable and can easily break. Through one set of cuffs. Of course the cuffs are created to drain your energy to you can't use your powers so it makes me quite tired at times but you get used to it. The SUV is about to drive away when my mum gets in the back.

"Ok, yep we're ready"
Norah says and the car speeds off.

We hear a loud explosion and only then do I notice that we had been infiltrated, they blew up our base. Why tho?

"requesting permission to converse?"
I ask the head guard.

"Permission granted"
He says in a deep voice.

I had to think of a way I could talk to my mum with out it being casual.

"Excuse me doctor?"
I asked, mum looked at me.

"Yes br-2140?"
I mentally facepalmed at mum almost ruining my cover. but she didn't have to call me 2140, she could've just said yes.

"Permission to know what is happening?"
I ask.

Norah looks over to the head guard and he nods giving a signal of yes.

"people have infiltrated the base in hopes of finding something, they didn't get it because we don't have it. And they ended up blowing up the place in the process, 4157 and Dr Maria Ann Holt escaped in another SUV "
Norah responded.

"Ok"
Was all I said before the car fell into silence.

Time skip 4 years (basically just went to a new base and did all the same stuffs they did at the other base, more experience with powers and such )

It was Brooklyn's 9th birthday and although she hated Samuel she had a very small, microscopic, soft spot for him and his mother. She blamed it on her mother though, because she was a scientist and a doctor and met Sam's mother they became secret friends and forced Brooklyn to put up with Sam.

Over the years Brooklyn found out that Sam and his mother came from a small village and HYDRA secretly invaded it trying to find the perfect person with the right DNA to better suit the alpha project (the name of the project for Brooklyn and Sam).
After finding Maria (Sam's mum) inducing her with the serum telling her that it will allow her to bear a child Maria had the child and HYDRA came back killed everyone in the town and left with Maria and Sam.
Every two years Brooklyn would get a new arm and every month she would get a check up with the arm. Samuel still hasn't gone on any missions due to Him not being able to control his powers of shape shifting but Brooklyn has gone on multiple assassination missions as well as back up missions. Brooklyn's kill count is now at: 34 of witnesses and assassinations she usually used her ice powers when killing someone because that was what HYDRA requested of her. Clean ups were easier because of her molecular manipulation powers she could movie the blood and completely transfer it to somewhere else when someone else dragged the body. She got her latest arm and now she's been assigned on a mission with Sam to retrieve some files and dispose of any witnesses.
This is Sam's first mission and he's really nervous he didn't want to be here but there was no way of escaping HYDRA without someone dying. Samuel has only just been able to control his powers and it makes him perfect for this mission.

A/n btw their assassin names are the arctic assassin and сдвиг - said as
sss-dee -veeec (sdvig meaning shift in Russian) I'll just use shift in the story but Russian soldiers call him either soldat or sdvig.

Time skip to the mission.
Brooklyn's P.O.V
Shift saw the lady walk out of the building and cover into a car. He transformed into her and walked into the building me being able to control particles just turn my self into gas and sneak in that way. Samuel played off as the lady and got the key to go into her hotel room he traveled to the elevator to the room where as I already knew what one it was I was waiting for him there. Finally he arrived and opened the door we turned back to normal and looked at each other.

"Ты знаешь что делать"
(You know what to do)
I told shift.

He nodded in response and he watched the door a 9mm glock pistol in one hand and knives in the other.
As Samuel watched the door, I hacked the laptop and began loading it all into the usb someone was heard entering the apartment and shift was quietly hoping they didn't come into the bedroom but unfortunately Shift's prayers weren't answered.
A young boy and the woman walked into the room Sam didn't know what to do, well he knew what to do, he just didn't want to do it.He pulled them in and closed the door I iced it up and the lady screamed I looked up and gave shift a look.

If looks could kill he'd be dead meat.

Shift hit the lady in the head with the butt of his gun and she fell unconscious. The little boy ran to her and began to cry. Shift was lost he didn't know what to do. I froze over the Windows and created an image using my manipulation of the particles showing the image of the room looking normal. I got up and pulled out my gun.

"I know you don't want to but you have to, they'll hurt your mum, you don't want that."

He was silent he pulled up his arm and I noticed that his hands were  violently shaking.

"Sigh"
