_chapter 17 ~ A Successor_

"The... Winter soldier... "
Brooklyn said looking to the ground.

Bucky stood back and suddenly memories flood his head.

Him torturing Brooklyn, him training Brooklyn, him fighting Brooklyn, him almost killing Brooklyn several times. He remembered her constantly failing tests and examinations. With failure came more punishments.....

Bucky walked forward and stopped infront of Brooklyn. He towered over her. She looked to the side avoiding all eye contact during this tense moment. He looked at her arm.

"How did you lose your arm?"
He asked softly.

"it wasn't lost like you..."
She spoke quietly...

"what do you mean?..."
Bucky asked saddened.

"it was on my fifth birthday... I was called to the room...

they did what they had to, to make me what I am now...

Looking back now It was only about 7 or 8 hours at most. They didn't let me out of consciousness. They only gave me enough anesthetic to help certain things so I wouldn't die during procedure. By the end of my 5th birthday I was their complete soldier. That's when I met Sam. And that's all I remember... "
Brooklyn finished without emotion.

Wanda was in tears sobbing on the floor.

" oh my God... I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry... "
Wanda sobbed.

"you read my thoughts!"
Brooklyn yelled at her.

"I-I'm sorry this was the only thought I was able to read... Everything else was closed up... I dont know how you stopped me from reading your mind but I needed to see what was in there incase something happened... "

Brooklyn sighed.

"Its ok... Don't do it again please... I don't want you to get hurt..."
Brooklyn said that last part quietly.

Brooklyn thought quickly trying to change the subject.

"u-um Mr Banner sir?"
She asked awkwardly.

"y-yes?"
He asked worried.

"this has been bugging me for a while and If you dont know this.. Please don't freakout but... Are you awear that you have very large amounts of gamma radiation within your body?"
Brooklyn asked wearily.

"why yes I am awear of that."
He said normally.

"waitttt!... How are you awear of that?"
He asked confused.

"um well... It's kind of obvious... It's practically oozing out of you"
She said as if it was obvious.

"w-what do you mean..."
He asked scared.

"Do you not see what I see? It's very obvious..."
Brooklyn said a little bit weirded out.

Everyone was confused at this point.

"oh waitttt! Brooks! I forgot to tell you...."
Sam(OC) said sheepishly.

"You see all of these weird things that we don't see. "
He said awkwardly.

"what do you mean Sam?"
Brooklyn asked.

"well when you teleported us to that place I was able to see those things you're always talking about... Uhhh... What were they called... Dammit I always forget..."
Sam said stuck.

"Particles..?"
Brooklyn said confused.

Everyone's mouths dropped.

"you can see particles? Pff as if... Stop playing around"
Tony said with a laugh.

"can you not?"
Brooklyn asked confused.

"Show us. "
Tony said sternly.

'Wow... Hes serious all of a sudden'
Brooklyn thought to herself.

"Well... I dont think I can really teleport right here unless you want your entire building to be transported to Mexico or somewhere.... Hmmm  oh I have an idea!"
Brooklyn says hopeful.

"Okay... Whatever I do... Don't touch it... It could become unstable... I'll just do a simple oxigen atom..."
Brooklyn took a deep breath.

She stood still and moved her hands as if she was enlarging something.

Soon enough as she opened her eyes there was the enlarged oxigen atom.

It was stable enough for Brooklyn to show off a little bit of her abilities.

"So... This is an oxigen atom... You guys don't usually see these?"
She asked confused.

"oh my God. Bruce get the camera!"
Tony yelled forgetting about his cell phone.

Bruce asked FRIDAY to video what was happening.

"what else can you do!?!?"
Bruce and Tony asked excitedly.

"Like what I did with the sword I rearranged the particles first into a liquid state to mold the sword then forced them into a solid state to make the sword"
Brooklyn said making the oxigen atom go back to normal then making a dagger out of a mixing bowel from the bench.

"I can also take the moisture from the air or nearby rivers and lakes and manipulate water or liquid basically I can manipulate any particle to do what I want. I can make them vibrate to create heat which causes fire"

She gave them a demonstration of the combustion of fire.

"so you can manipulate atoms as well as temperature?"
Natasha asked.

"Yes. "
Brooklyn says beginning to feel uncomfortable with all the attention.

"what about ice?"
Clint asked.

"No. I. don't. do. ice."
Brooklyn said cooly her personality changing drastically.

Sam (OC) looked at Brooklyn not know what caused this change in personality from Brooklyn to 2140 but he didn't like it.

Sam sat quietly thinking of ways to exit this conversation until tony spoke up.

"so... Do you have other clothes or..."
Tony asked awkwardly.

"at our home we do."
Brooklyn said firmly.

"well what are we waiting for? Lets go get you guys your stuff"
Tony said happily

Brooklyn and sam(oc) nodded.
