AN: this is an AU based off of the song "the night we met" about you and newt in the glade and how you first met . It may be sad if your emotional but if you're not emotional it probs won't be sad

Your P/O/V
You breathe in fresh air, you made it, you made it to the safe haven, what WCKD promised you years ago, finally infront of you. You smile to yourself but then realise everything that went on a few hours ago, Dr Page dying, Janson dying, Teresa dying. And newt. A few stray tears glided down your face as you remember your boyfriends cold, lifeless body laying on the floor, holding him in your hands as life was sucked out of him right infront of you, Thomas walked up behind you, completely startling you because you though he was still passed out after being shot. You gave him a weak smile as he pulled you into a comforting hug, Thomas was the only person who understood how you felt, him loosing Teresa and everything. You sobbed a few more times before walking to sit down by the ocean. Thomas followed.
"Newt would've loved to see this" you smiled not taking your eyes off the ocean, like a blanket of deep blue. You thought about how the fish and how they have a place to live, a place to call home.
"Yeh, and chuck" Thomas replied
"I miss him too tommy" you said as you rested your head on his shoulder.
"Did I ever tell you, the story of me and newt" Thomas shook his head, you took a deep breath
"I came up in the box, like you did I was the only girl at the time, the guys all thought I was just a weird lookin' guy,"
Thomas chucked at your statement
"The Guys bombarded me with questions and I felt like... I was gonna' cry.. or something, then, newt came, told em' all to 'shove off'" you chuckle, tears forming in your eyes
"As soon as I saw him, I felt some sort of connection, like I'd seen him before. I know it's sounds so cheesy and 'romantic', but it's true, Newt gave me the tour, the guys constantly hit on me and it made Newt so jealous," you a thomas share a grin
"Then he asked me to be his girlfriend, of corse I said yes, it's just like every other love story the jokes, the bonfires I wish I could turn back time, and take myself back to the night me and newt met properly, I wish I could take myself back to when everything was happy, the only think I worried about was what I was going to wear, then we made it through the maze, through the scorch, faced death a few times but we always managed to pull through... but not this time.." you stop, thinking about what you just said.. "I..." you choked out, but you couldn't help crying again, you were never the one to cry, but you couldn't hold in your tears, not anymore, your emotions had piled up and you couldn't take it anymore, so you let it all out.. onto thomas shoulder. He didn't mind though, he knew how you were feeling,
"I miss him so much" you sobbed
"I miss him too" Thomas replied hugging you tighter, you eventually stop crying and watch the sunset fade into the horizon, thinking about newt for every second.
