Yet again, your boyfriend Thomas fucked up, this time the doors won't close, you can't put the blame on him though because you don't know if it was entirely his fault, your heart dropped after hearing that the doors won't close, that means grievers, in the glade, you wait shielding your mouth with your hand, heart pounding in your chest, holding back the tears that threatened to fall, crouched in the box with Gally and a few others, Gally looked fuming. you stood up walking towards Gally, he put his finger against your lips indicating for you to be quiet as you feared for your life

There gone, you give a sigh of relief nodding at Gally who asked you if he should open the box. He jumped out, the others followed, you were out last, you watched as the glade ignited in flames, Gally stormed to your boyfriend and punched him in the nose, you heard the impact and sprinted over to Thomas, many gasps filled the glade "Gally! It's not Thomas's fault" you explain as he rolled his eyes in response "oh yeah, look around Princess, you're only saying that to stick Up for him because he's your shuck boyfriend" he retorted, you scoffed and grabbed thomas' hand, "I said leave him alone" you replied calmly, newt came limping over to the circle that had Formed around you, Gally and Thomas.
Gally looked at newt for sympathy "come on newt , Thomas needs to be punished" he explained "there'll be a meeting tomorrow, council hall, keepers and Thomas only." he said placing hubs hands on his hips "what about me?" You questioned "what about you?" Newt laughed sarcastically "I should be allowed in the meeting" you said, standing taller, feeling proud that you stood up for yourself, Thomas grinned at your cockiness "why should she be allowed newt? She's not a keeper" Gally said, a few others nod in agreement. "Well she is Tommy's girlfriend, y/n you're allowed in the meeting, just this once" you nod and walk away, a few other graders claim unfair but newt ignored them.

-the next day-
You didn't sleep much last night, you decided to rehearse what you were going to say and think about the scenarios, surely they won't banish Thomas, You roll over opening your eyes realizing you're late to the meeting, you get dressed, brush your teeth and hair and run into the council hall, "sorry I'm late" you gasped for air after running across the glade, a few people rolled their eyes "sit down y/n" newt commanded, after alby being taken by the grievers, newt was alot harsher on everyone, especially himself "now you all know why we are here today," he began "you know how this works, im going to go round the circle and see what you think about thomas' punishment," a few nods were shared
Gally was first "banishment." he said bluntly, I tried to object but I was cut off by Minho "1 night in the pit"
"come on! We don't even know.." I was off again "don't talk out of turn or you're out" newt said as you slowly sink into your chair, there was a few more people who said banishment but the overall of people voted 1 night in the pit, then it was your turn "well, I don't think he should get punished at all but, if I had to choose over banishment and 1 night in the pit, I choose the pit." You said blankly the overall vote was 4 to 7 Thomas was spending a night in the pit.

"You could've done more" Thomas said looking down "what?" You scoffed "you could've done more to not get me punished" he replied, you couldn't believe him "Thomas, I tried, it's not like they were going to believe me anyway, for all I know you could've done it" your blood was boiling "yeh well I wouldn't surprise me if you didn't believe me anyway" he sighed "Thomas, I'm sorry okay I guess I could've dont more, besides it's only one night, I'll stay with you the whole night" you smiled trying to make the situation better, he smiled back and pulled you into a kiss and you immediately kissed back, "it's okay, I love you" he explained "love you to" you giggled.
