NOT EVEN A second after Peter had said the words, a round grenade rolled into their view and exploded, enveloping the ship in thick smoke. Mina coughed, hands going to her swords and she pulled one out, holding it defensively.
It was quiet for a moment, just the smoke and them and then there was a shout and the sound of running feet. Figures appeared through the smoke and a gun fired, narrowly missing Mina, who sidestepped it quickly.
"Thanos!" A deep, angry voice yelled through the fading mist, launching itself at Doctor Strange. Mina could make out a tall, muscular blue dude before his head was covered with Strange's cloak.
Another person, a man in a weird mask, launched himself into the broken ship, this time at Tony and he immediately fought back, his blasters firing. Mina barely had time to register what just happened before a woman with antenna-like things was suddenly in front of her and Peter.
Peter fell back, literally and scrambled away, shooting rapid, crazy webs at the insect woman but none hit. She advanced and the teens moved back quickly.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Please don't put your eggs in me!" Peter screamed, backing away. He was panicking, that was clear and had it been any other situation, Mina would have been busting her ass laughing but she did not feel like laughing at the moment.
Instead, she brandished her sword, sticking it in the ground and using it to deliver a roundhouse kick to the woman, knocking her down. Once she was down, Mina pulled out her sword and hoisted the woman up by the shirt, holding the katana to her throat.
Mina looked around her and saw that each person had taken a hostage, same as her. Tony had the blue guy and the guy in the mask had Peter, making Mina's blood boil. And of course, Mina had the insect woman.
"Alright, everybody, calm down. Chill the eff out!" The masked man said, pointing his gun at Peter. He pressed the side of his mask and the mask retreated, revealing a handsome, somewhat chubby face.
"I'm gonna ask you this one time." The man continued, tightening his hold on Peter. "Where is Gamora?"
"Yeah, I'll do you one better, who's Gamora?" Tony asked, his helmet retreating and exposing his angry, confused face.
"I'll do you one better. Why is Gamora?!" The blue guy spoke up, voice indignant. Mina could only look at him in utter disbelief.
And she thought Ned was the stupidest person she'd ever met.
"Tell me where my girl is or I swear to you, I'm gonna french fry this little freak!" The man said, pressing the gun closer to Peter's head. The eyes of Peter's mask widened and he shook his head.
Mina was enraged.
"Do that and I kabob this chick! Come on, let's do it!" Mina shouted, clear anger in her voice and the man turned to her.
