Bonnie's POV

It's no surprise that I wake up alone.

The other side of the bed cold empty, un slept in by another person.

I missed Jeremy and there was no denying it. I always grade the history assignments, out by the baseball field hopping to catch a glimpse of him.

Making sure he's okay. And seeing if he has a girlfriend so I can get over myself finally decide to move on.

It's not creepy, it's just observing without him knowing I am.

I roll over to the side of the bed were I had left my book........

But inside of reaching the table and other side of the bed I fall flat on floor.

I quickly scramble to my feet. and take in my surroundings.

I'm in a small room. the walls are white and the ceilings low. Light steams in through the one square window across the room.

I start freaking out. have I been kidnapped?

Right as I'm about to try breaking the window. I hear the clicking of shoes coming from outside the room.

Then the door knob turns. I stick my hands out ready to perform a spell if necessary.

"Bennett, lady Salvatore is awake get to her chambers immediately, no dilly dallying or we will have to find her a new maid."

A shrill voice calls.

The door creaks open.

A women who can't be older than fifty enters the room. Her hair pulled up into a perfect bun. Her clothes all ironed to perfection.

She rests her hand firmly on her hip.

"Go now,"

She points her bony long pale finger at the door.

I have no idea what's going on but lady Salvatore is enough to get me on my feet. Maybe this is some kind of role play party; when every has biographies of who they are supposed to play.

Apparently I did not get the memo.

I have no idea where I am. the House I'm in is unfamiliar. A young girl runs by in a white bonnet and apron.

"Excuse me little one."

She turns timidly.

"Yes Bonnie is everything okay? I'm supposed to tend to mrs. Lockwood,"

Thinking on the spot I ask.

"Where is mrs Salvatore this morning I can't seem to track her down."

"Try the salon upstairs, you know next to mr Salvatore's room. you okay you look a little shell shocked, do you need me to cover your shift, I didn't stay up late last for the new year."

My mind is a mixing pot for all new kinds of confusion.

Last time I checked last night was not New Years. "No thank I'll cover it,"

She smiles and scurries off.

Now more than ever I need to get to Elena and find stuff out.

I maneuver my self out of the hallway and into the room where the main stairway connects to the rest of the house.

The railing leading up the carpeted stairs was wooden as glossy. Like it was stolen from gone with the wind.

When I reach the top of the stairs. I head to left hoping that my first instinct will be the right answer.
