Tom enters the house, tossing his keys and his wallet on one of the furniture that is in the entrance, at the same time your twins come running out of the living room towards their dad.
"Daddy!!" they both scream in harmony, each hugging one of his legs.
"Hey my babies!" They both step back so he can kneel and take them in his arms. He kisses their foreheads while entering the living room where you sit in the couch.
"Hey," you said, putting the book you were reading on the coffee table.
"Hi, princess," he lowers himself and kiss you softly. The twins still in his arms, start giggling and try to go down. He leans back, but a smile begins to appear on his face. "Okay chipmunks, daddy is not allowed to kiss mommy?" He puts them on the ground, putting his hands on his hips, trying to look serious, but the twins know him too well and know he just pretending so they just shrug.
"Well, what a shame, I had good news to announce you." He pretends to be disappointed, letting his arms fall, sighing.
"No, tell us please!!" Your son exclaims.
"Yes, please tell us." Your daughter begs.
They both look at him with puppy eyes.
"okay, okay, if you look at me like that, i can't fight." He kneel in front and indicate them to come closer with his finger. They both get closer to their dad and he start whispering. "Do you remember that trip to Tokyo, you and the friends in your class wanted to do?" The two children nods. "Well guess what?" He asks, smirking.
They both gasp and look at each other, their mouth falling open.
"We're going to go to Tokyo??" Your boy ask, eyes sparkling with joy.
"Yes." Tom answer, grinning.
"OH MY GOD." Your daughter said in a high pitched tone. They both start jumping on their feet, screaming. They jump into their father's arms and give him tons of hugs and kisses, followed by a lot of 'thank you'.
After a few minutes, they step back.
"We need to start packing!" Your daughter proclaims. Your son agrees with his twin sister and they both run out of the living room towards they bedroom.
"Chipmunks, you still have time!" Tom cries, but the twins are already in their rooms planning their trip and packing. You laugh and get up, wrapping an arm around your husband's waist.
"I don't think they'll wait to pack and until they go to Tokyo, that'll be the only thing they'll talk about, and when they come back, it'll be the only thing they'll talk about too." You said, smiling.
He shakes his head, laughing. "I know."
"So, that trip was your idea, I bet it was you who suggested it to the other parents at the reunion and they all agreed with you, right?" You point out.
"What can I say? I just want the best for my kids." He gives you a wink before kissing you lovingly.
