Chapter 2

🥀Attack of the insect!✨

( your POV )

You smiled when you look up to him, your heart pumping quickly as soon as he smiles back down at you with a bit of a playful smirk added on to it. "I assume you already found my mess of a room hm?" He said with a little chuckle. "Uh, yeah.. it's fucking disgusting Brodey!" You say with a laugh as well, using your free hand to shove him gently. 

"It's not that bad!" He says with protest as you ignore him and head up the stairs to the kitchen, setting the dishes into the sink as you're planning to come back and do them later. "Need some help?" You turn around and see an unfamiliar voice say, seeing that it's a man with brown hair and beautiful hazel eyes, "oh.. uhm no thank you." You say with a smile, questioning who this man is before you. He seems to get that you're confused so he introduces himself, "My names Lannan, I'm friends with the others and I often visit." He chuckles and offers his hand to you, you gladly accepting it as a shake. "Hello Lannan, my name is Y/N. It's nice to meet you." He nodded and sat down in one of the chairs near the island, "so, how did you end up here?" You ponder for a moment and debated whether to actually tell him the reason or to make up a half fake reason. "Well, I'm already 20 and I needed to find a new place to move to since New York wasn't my style.. Kath and Cray invited me to live here for a job." You say with a nervous smile, he looks at your eyes with his own, seeming to know something was up. "Ah, alright then." He stood up and smiled as he walked away to one of the other levels. You seemed confused but forgot about it as you plugged in your earbuds to listen to some music as you clean the dishes.

( Brodeys POV )

"I can't believe Y/N actually lives here now, can you believe it?" He says with a bit of excitement in his voice, looking over to his friend Cray. "I mean.. she's such a nice girl and hopefully she gets comfortable with my slobbiness." "Bazz, just admit it already! You like Y/N! It's so obvious!" He gives him a cheeky smile as Brodey got up from his spot on the bed and gave Cray a light punch on the shoulder. "Okay..okay shut up Cray I don't like her, besides she has someone already.. that Daniel guy." He said, with a little sadness corrupting his excitement. "Oh, about that Bazz." Cray said but was cut off by Elliot barging into the room. "Hey guys, Y/N made lunch for us and wanted to wait for you guys before everyone ate." They both nodded at him as they got up, Brodey feeling dizzy at the thought of seeing her, seeing her smile, the way her hair curls where the place she doesn't want to, the smell of her perfume as she enters anywhere. "Bazz? You okay?" Says Cray, looking worried to him. "Uhm.. yeah, yep! Fine!" He says with a slight blush spread across his face, starting up the stairs as he hears Elliot and Cray giggle about what had just happened. 'Oh god..' he thinks to himself.

( your POV )

You wait for everyone to come to the island to grab some food that you had made after putting the dishes away, you smile when Brodey, Cray, and Elliot enter, finally allowing everyone to get something to eat. "Jesus that took too long, she was basically starving us!" Says lannon sarcastically. You give him a glare and threaten to shoot a spoon full of Mac n cheese at him, he gulps and quiets down as he eats. "Thank you Y/N." You turn to see Brodey, having to look up at him as you talk, "oh.. you're welcome." You smile as a little blush appears on both of your faces, getting noticed by Kathleen and Marcus. They chuckle and Marcus winks at Brodey, only making his blush worsen.

When lunch was over, you had to do the dishes again. This time you had some help, while you washed the dishes you had Cray drying them and handing them to Brodey to put away. "Thanks guys, last time I did this it took a long time." You say with a small giggle, quickly looking at Brodey with his Gymshark clothes on, cray sees you admiring and gives you a soft whistle, nodding quickly. You laugh and shake your head, getting the attention of Brodey. "What's so funny?" He said, hopefully clueless. "Oh nothing! Cray just had a bug on him." You say, pointing to a small insect crawling around on his shoulder, "Wait.. Wh- HOLY SHIT GET IT OFF! Y/N PLEASE GET IT OFF!" He started to run around, swatting at it and moving around like a cat in water. Me and Brodey laughed and laughed until both of our faces were red. At that moment, he put a hand on my shoulder and squeezed it to keep himself calm, you feel a jolt of electricity run through your body from the touch, you smile and give him an unexpected hug, and to your surprise.. he hugs back.

( Brodey's POV )

I stand there with her in my arms, my chin resting on her head. I quietly sniff her hair, a mixture of mangos and strawberry's return and give me a feeling of light headiness. She was so small, so fragile.. so beautiful.. I shake my head and let go of her, which was weirdly painful to do. I look over to see Cray as he finally swats the insect off, chuckling as I go to check on him. "You okay pal?" I say with a hand out to help him up, "Damn thing could of killed me Bazz!" He said as he looked up and laughed, taking my hand. "Yeah yes I know big scary insects!" I say with a playful tone, looking over to make Y/N laugh. I loved when she did that.

I wish I could just tell her already..
