A/N - GUESS WHO'S POSTING AGAIN YEEEEE

It should go without saying, that the world is cruel. There is no 'can be' about it, there is no doubt, it is just fact. The world we live on is a cruel, lonely place, despite the millions upon millions that inhabit it. Why? It is simple, really.

If you are different, you are alone.

But, what happens when you meet someone who is the same as you?

Roman was confident. He loved himself, there was no doubt about it. Except, there was one small detail that no one knew of. At least, not yet.

Roman only loved the self that was inside, not out. He didn't like what people saw when they looked at him, because he was painfully aware that that wasn't him. People only saw what he hated about himself, what he wanted more than anything to change.

They saw a girl.

They saw a pretty girl with long, vibrant red hair and beautiful dark eyes. They saw a girl. A female.

They saw Lynn Princeton.

~~~~~
No one knew. Despite how much Roman wanted to scream it from the tallest building, yell at everyone who he really was, he remained silent. He was great at acting, so he faked it. He played the role well. He did his hair, he wore makeup, he dressed in the clothes that felt like they were burning his skin with how tight and form fitting they were.
Roman hated it, but he put on a confident smile anyway. He grinned, he laughed, he strutted. It worked, and he figured he could deal with it. Just had to wait until he graduated high school, and he could be himself. He could be able to make his own life choices. He just had to keep acting for a few more years, then he'd be free.
His plans never work out though, he's pretty sure the universe hates him. Afterall, it did force him into a body he felt sick just looking at.
"So, lemme get this straight..."
"Good luck with that, but 'kay."
"You got detention..."
"Yep."
"And I have to wait an hour after school gets out..."
"Uh-huh."
"Because you decided to dump Grey Davidson's redbull over his head."
Remy grinned, no hint of remorse showing in his features.
"Hell yeah, I did!" he declared proudly, crossing his arms over his chest. Roman sighed, rubbing his face with a hand and giving his twin a look. The why the fuck am I related to you look. Remy just grinned wider. "He deserved it."
"Oh, did he?" Roman asked, rolling his eyes.
"Yeah, he was spitting shit outta his mouth again. Can't be healthy for him, I did him a favor."
"You poured a DRINK ON HIS HEAD, REM!" Roman exclaimed, throwing his arms in the air. "He's always talking shit, why should you even care? Especially enough to get detention! Mom's gonna kill you, y'know!"
Remy just shrugged, actually looking a little sheepish, but that was replaced with annoyance right after.
"He was flaunting his homophobic ass." Roman blinked, staring at his brother. "He mentioned Virgil and Daniel, so... couldn't let it slide." Remy looked away, glaring down the hall, his grip on his starbucks cup growing tighter. Roman blinked again.
