Hermiones pov

"I think she's waking up" I heard Draco say, when I opened my eyes I was in the hospital room. I'm getting sick of being in here. "What happened?" I questioned "we found you unconscious by the forest" Blaise said, that's when it all came back to me "did you find her!? I heard her in the forest!" I said, jumping up "we've searched the forest, they don't believe she's on school grounds anymore" Ginny said, her hand clung to mine "b...but I heard her, I tried to get to her but something was stopping me. Some sort of shield" I said, my mind racing with a million different thoughts.

"So, if she's not on school ground what are they going to do?" I questioned. "They've filed a missing person report in our world and the muggle world, they have people out looking for her and attempting to track dad....Ron and dean have also disappeared so they feel, with the history we have with them, they have something to do with her disappearance" Blaise said "they do, Ron was in our dorm earlier, I went looking for the ring but he had it. I chased after him right down the hill but he just disappeared" I said "what time is it?" I questioned "9:00pm" Draco said

"right well we need to get up, we have to start looking" I said getting up "are you sure you don't want to stay here a-bit longer, build your strength up?" Theo said "no, I want to find her...I need to find her! Merlin Harry....How's Harry doing?" I questioned "distraught, he's with Luna. She's promised to take care of him" Blaise said. "Right well we need a plan and fast!" I said

(Fast forward a week)

There had been no sighting of Pansy and she had been missing for a week now. I had been working on a plan but it would involve leaving Hogwarts. "Mione hurry up!" Blaise shouted form the stairs. We were having a meeting about which plan to choose, I ran downstairs and sat beside Draco. We started are little meeting and before I knew it we were round to me.

"Right, this is a little risky but nothing unusual to us all. It involves leaving the school. It's very obvious we can't just sit here we need to be out looking properly. Two of us would leave through the honeydukes secret passage and leave Hogwarts that way, we'll need to figure out a way past the apparition. After that, we hit diagon alley. There's a street there that takes you down a dark alley which then leads to a wall. We get the password which I already have and enter into a world for dark wizards. It's unknown to the ministry and was set up after the war. We'll go undercover and try see if anyone knows anything. If we get anything there then we move to where they said. It's like a game of tag, we just need to keep up with them" I said, the others looked intrigued.

After about a 30 minute discussion they agreed to my plan "so, who's leaving?" Blaise asked "I am" I said "then I'll go" Draco said "no, you need to stay" I said "but, I can't just let you go on a life threatening mission and not come with you!" He said "and this school needs a head boy, I promise I'll be safe. Harry, you'll come. Just like the old times huh?" I said with a slight smirk, he smiled slightly. "Get packed, we leave tonight" I said. He nodded and everyone left.

"You can't actually think that me not going is better" Draco said "I do, as harsh as this sounds you'll get in the way. You'll not let me take the risks I may need to take and will take if I have too" I said, while I packed up my stuff "are you planning on coming back?" He said, looking at me as I lifted my piles of clothes out of drawers and shrunk them "hopefully" I said "and what do we tell mcgonogal?" He said "don't be stupid Draco, she already knows" I said "you told her?" He asked "merlin no. But it's mcgonogal, she's ears and eyes everywhere. I bet you any money now she's talking to Aberforth sorting out protection arrangements" I said

Mcgonogals pov

"Smart girl she is" Aberforth said, he was sitting across from me as I, like Hermione said was organising protection incase things got risky. I had learnt in the 8 years I'd known Hermione that she wasn't planning on stepping down even if I told her she'd be expelled. She was a stubborn girl but she'd do anything to protect her friends and this school. There was nothing I could do to stop them going so I may as-well help them get where they need to

"so, you will follow them into the first bar they decide to go to, then if anything starts apparate them straight to your shack and alert me immediately" I said, pushing my glasses up. Aberforth nodded before leaving the office. It was 3:00pm now and I know they'll leave during dinner, so I planned to be up in my office when they do.

Hermiones pov

1hour left, I was packed and fully loaded with everything we'd need. Packing made me feel like we were on the run again, it brought back some bad memories. Draco was beside me, his head resting on my lap. I played with his hair as he watched the tv. His eyes were red, I could tell he was stopping himself from letting even a tear fall. We sat in silence for the next hour, not a word spoke between us.

Just enjoying the last of each other's company. 6:00pm seemed to come round to fast. We had to leave by the front doors as the passage to honey dukes had been destroyed during the war. We waited by the door until we were positive no one would see us. I placed a silencing charm around us all and the door so no one heard it, as we said our goodbyes I left Blaise and Draco to the end. I walked over to Blaise who had a tinge of guilt in his eyes "what's wrong?" I asked

"I'm sorry I said all that shit to you the other day, you were right...I was in denial. Maybe I still am i don't know. Just know I know you're my sister and you are apart of the family and I love you to bits" he said grabbing me into a hug "be safe" he said as he let go "always" I said "oh and Hermione...here" he said, gently placing the family ring back on my hand, I smiled as I turned to Draco who refused to look my way

"Draco" I said, he didn't move "Draco don't do this" I said. He stood for a second before looking, a tear running down his cheek. I rubbed it away "I promise you I'll be back" I said "do you?" He said, remembering what I said earlier "yes, I promise" I said, he looked at me before giving me a kiss. I let my own tears fall at this point

"I love you with every part of my heart" he said "I love you more" I said, hugging him as the tears fell "don't look back" he said "whatever you do don't look back, because if you do I won't be able to cope" he said. I nodded giving him one more kiss and grabbing my bag off Theo who gave me another hug. "We love you all, stay safe" Harry said. I looked around the group one more time before turning to the door and saying the spell to unlock it.

It opened and I stood outside of it. I stopped for a second, the urge to look one more time coming over me but I didn't. Instead I just walked on, walking down the bridge I heard the door close and only then did I turn around. I looked at Harry "never did I imagine I would have to leave again" I said as I looked around the castle. I looked up and noticed the headmistress standing by her window. She only smiled, a knowing look in her eyes. Seconds later Harry grabbed my hand and we were whisked away, not sure for we would ever see Hogwarts again.
