It was a day later I haven't talked to Z since the argument. Sammi was slowly getting exactly what she wanted.

I slid on a pair of shorts and took my hair out of the bun.

*20 minutes later*

I heard a knock on the door it was Z. "Come in." I said blankly, moving out of his way. "Thanks." He came inside, closing the door behind him.

"So." I sat down on the couch. "So." He sat down next to me. "What do you want to clear up?" I turned my head to him. "What do I want clear up?" He said with slight attitude.

"Mmhm. You're the one who left yesterday." I raised an eyebrow at him. "What?! You're the one who started it." His voice raised a little bit. "Because she's a fucking snake, Zion. I'm not going to lose to her." I stood up.

"Lose what?" His semi shouted. "You." I yelled. "How the fuck would lose me?" He crossed his arms. "She won't stop til she has you wrapped around her finger. You've seen what she has done before. What's stopping her now?" I walked towards the kitchen.

"I don't know why you keep stressing over this." He followed me. "Because like I said before, she's a snake. Just like her ex best friend. You saw what she did to Ed too. I don't get why you're so blinded by this." I raised my voice at him.

"Oh my fucking god." He put his hands on his head. "What? I just want to know why this is a problem for you." I got closer to him, still shouting. "I don't fucking understand!" He yelled. "Well I want to. Help me fucking understand, Zion." I stared into his eyes fiercely.

"I'm too frustrated right now." Z raised his hands up to his face. "Why." We stared at each other with blazing eyes. The tension grew stronger. So much frustration was building up.

"Because we've never fought like this before, Laila!" He snapped. "So. That doesn't mean you can't figure out what the right thing to do is!" I furrowed my eyebrows. "What even is the right fucking thing at this point." He walked back to the living room.

"Tell Sammi to back off! Relax! Maybe chill the fuck out!" I followed him. "You're dragging the entire situation." He stopped. "How?! She literally kissed you and then tried to fuck you. What aren't you comprehending?!" I rolled my eyes.

"Oh my god!" He huffed. "What!" I made big hand movements in his directions. "I can't do this right now." He started to walk towards the door.

"What do you mean." I stood in his way. "I mean I'm leaving. This is so stressful, Laila. I can't right now. The arguing is too much. And I already have a lot on my plate." He pushed me to the side.

"Zion. Don't you dare." I got closer to him. He turned the knob. "Zion..." My voice cracked. He opened the door aggressively. "Please..." Tears filled in my eyes. He walked out the apartment and slammed the door.

"Fuck!" Tears fell down my cheeks. I dropped to the floor and began sobbing. There I was. All alone.
