(Sorry for the really bad chapter name, I'm uncreative and can't think of anything better rn XD)

Kiko

"Ooh I can't wait to see the twins ! Did Cinder even tell you she was going to have twins imagine Kai's face when he found out oh my stars just hilarity at its finest I can't wait oh my stars-!!"

"Iko! Slow down and calm down! You talk way too fast when you're excited!"

Iko turned her head to look at Liam, bouncing up in her seat. "I'm just so happy for them! Can you imagine our very own former queen Selene, Linh Cinder, a mother!"

Keeping his eyes dutifully on the sky, he lifted up the corner of his mouth. "It is kind of amazing isn't it."

"Remember her back when she was just a sassy teenager, working to fix a deranged moon colony from destroying Earth? Err, no offense to you."

Kinny rolled his eyes turning the wheel slightly to the left to avoid a flock of crows. Iko subconsciously counted the crows for lack of something to do. Six.

Sighing happily, Iko flipped back her blue braids and pressed her face to the window, looking out at the blue summer sky.

"I wonder what they named them." Kinney said, a curious look crossing over his normally stern guard trained face.

"I bet Cinder named one of them after Peony." Iko saddened a bit at the mention of her first friend and she turned away from the window suddenly not as excited anymore. She caught a glimpse of her reflection in the glass, which showed her melancholy blue eyes. Kinny's hand fumbled over the controls until it found hers. Not taking his eyes off the sky, he asked, his voice tentative. "That was the girl who died of the plague, right?"

Unable to cry, Iko nodded, heaviness pulling on her wires. Kinney squeezed her hand reassuringly. Iko smiled sadly at him, and squeezed back. They sat in silence for a moment, hand-in-hand, the only sound being the roar of engines.

"I couldn't imagine, if something ever happened to Tressa, or even you..." he broke off shyley, his fingers twitching nervously in Iko's. Something akin to a bubble expanding the chest and, and Iko pressed her other hand to the spot, worried for a moment her fan had broken and she was overheating. Then she realized that a feeling of contentment and happiness followed the bubble, a sharp contrast from the moment before .

"Iko , are you all right?" The ship's nose dropped slightly as his focus turned to Iko, whose hand was still on her chest.

"Liam! Keep your eyes on the sky! I'm fine, don't worry so much." she ordered, only partly joking.

Liam muttered something about bossy androids, before focusing back on the blue expanse ahead of them. Iko looked back out the window, and noticed the high spires of New Beijing Palace.

"Oh Liam look! There's the palace!" She squealed, excitedly pressing her face against the window. Kinney smiled at her excitement. Gently and regretfully removing himself from Iko's grip, he grabbed the microphone announcer thingy next to the wheel. Pressing and holding the button, he announced with a mischievous smile, "New Beijing Palace sited, prepare for descent. I repeat, prepare for descent."

Iko giggles at his wonderful announcer voice. "You sound so professional!" She declared, grinning equally impishly at him. His eyes looked proud for a moment, until she grabbed the mic.

"IKO WAIT!"

"KAIDER RULES! I WANT TASTE BUDS WHICH ARE AMAZING! AND LIAM KINNEY NEEDS TO WATCH DESERTED ISLAND WITH ME SOMETIME! MIC DROP!!"

She indeed dropped the mic, and proceeded to cross her arms, grinning. "Now that's how it's done."

Kinney stares at her in shocked silence.
