Toni Topaz walked down the halls of Southside High with her camera in hand and a smirk on her face. She headed towards the main entrance to give a tour to the new kid. She watched as he walked through the metal detectors and they beeped, "It's the pins in my hat." He stated as he faced the officer. "Take it off go again." He angrily threw his hat on the table and went through the metal detectors again as the cop went through his bag. "Forsythe Pentalten Jones the third." She said with a smile as she took a picture. "Uh, it's Jughead actually." "I'm Toni Topaz I was supposed to give you the full animatronic tour of Southside High but some of the robots went insane and started the guests so we'll just wing it." The boy nodded following after her. "Classrooms don't have wifi the bathroom stalls don't have doors." "What about the school newspaper, the Red and Black?" "Yeah no longer exists, censorship, budget cuts, take your pick. To your right, you'll catch a rare glimpse of Jingle Jangle being consumed in its natural habitat." She said as they turned a corner to head to the cafeteria. "I'm sorry, Jingle Jangle?" " This place is crawling with the JJ a highly addictive total gutter drug, so let's not touch that." "Jingle Jangle fascinating." He said sarcastically as they continued their way down the hallway. "Alright here in the cafeteria, the ghoulies sit over there; rival gang, drug dealers, street racer, rumors of cannibalism, don't ask." She said as she looked around the room looking for her best friend since diapers. Once she spotted her strutting down the hallway she smirked and introduced her "and that would be my best friend, Jade Johnson, but don't ever call her Jade until she gets to know you, and her gang name is Viper but only the Serpents call her that, oh and don't even think about trying to get with her she and Sweet pea have been dating since 4th grade they are pretty tight with each other." Jughead turned his head to look at the girl seeing as the name sounded so familiar, Toni sighed before saying "and we sit over there with the serpents." "Wait you're a Southside Serpent?" "Why else would I volunteer to give you a tour, come on. " Jughead stopped himself and said to the pink haired girl, "Actually I'm going to sit by myself, just gonna finish my book and brood," he said as she crossed her arms. "I'm confused aren't you like a Serpent by blood? The son of FP Jones?" "Yeah so? I self identify as a loner. I'm not a pack animal I'm just gonna put my head down and try to get through this okay?" " Hey, you wanna get through this you should hang with the Serpents. The Ghoulies get whiff that you are alone and venerable, they will make you their bitch faster than you can say American History X." She stated with disappointment as she walked off to sit with her family. As she sat down, Jade found her way to the table and sat down right next to Sweet Pea who instantly put his arm around her shoulders. "Hey, Toni is that the new kid? Fp Jones's kid?" "Yeah" "Why isn't he sitting with the Serpents then?" The girl asked in confusion. "I don't know Viper he 'self identifies as a loner'" Toni says rolling her eyes. Jade nodded her head and turned to look at Sweet Pea, she smiled before pulling him into a passionate kiss.
(Time Skip)
" Fahrenheit 451, by one of my favorite authors Ray Bradbury, start with the title. Can anyone tell me it's the significance?" "What?!?! Dammit!" Sweet Pea yelled as he got up and stormed out of the classroom, causing Jade to look up from her drawing and watch her boyfriend storm out of the room. The teacher paused for a second before continuing. "People there is a burning book on the cover" Jughead looked around waiting for someone to answer me and Toni both shook our heads no but he didn't listen "Fahrenheit 451 is the temperature at which paper burns." Everyone turned to stare at the kid and Toni and I both sighed and looked back down at our desks. "It was a pleasure to burn" he quoted. "Indeed, thank you Mr. Jones, and welcome to hell." Paper was tossed on Jugs desk right as the bell ringed, we all got up to leave but Toni grabbed my arm and asked me to wait with her. "Sorry, Toni but you know Sweets if I don't find him then he will destroy the school, I'm sorry," I said turning and walking away. I spotted Sweet Pea headed in the direction of an empty classroom, I ran to catch up with him and caught the door going into the classroom before it slammed in my face. "Hey babe what's up?" "Remember the party we went to with Fangs and Toni?" "Yes" "There was a Ghoulie there, and he is telling everyone that you and he flirted non-stop at the party." He said, steam practically coming out of his ears because of how mad he was. I smirked to myself and said, "You jealous?" I asked. He stood up from a desk and made his way over to me, he stood towering over me as he looked into my eyes as if looking for something. He reached down and put his hands under my thighs lifting my on top of one the desks, moved my long hair out of his way, and started biting and kissing my neck. I leaned my head back and tried to contain my moans as my fingers combed through his hair. "Sweets we can't do this here you know that," I said as he continued searching for my sweet spot, I gasped when he found it felt him smirk against my skin as he attacked the spot. "Sweet pea, s-stop" he stopped biting my neck and looked at me and raised an eyebrow. I rolled my eyes and reminded him if the last time. "We can't Sweet pea the bell is gonna ring in a couple of minutes and I don't want to be caught in the middle of this," I said while hoping off the desk and walked through the door feeling his eyes burn through my back.
I walked through the hallways looking for Toni with Sweet pea and a couple of other Serpents. I finally spotted her in the Red and Black office and pointed her out to the rest of the Serpents. "Toni lets bounce, " I said walking through the door but stopped when I saw a familiar face, Sweat Pea smirked a little when he noticed the boy as well. "Jones, want to come with, heading down to the quarry?" He turned away from us and went back to the boxes to unpack a bunch of things. "Uh don't have my beach body yet, " "What? You'll ask for help from the Serpents but you won't hang with us. Don't come crawling to us hat in hand when a Ghoulie decides to earn his stripes by taking FP Jones's kid." "Duly noted, thank you Sweat pea, I appreciate everything you and the Serpents have done for me and my dad, I do. But I'm done. Okay? No more favors coming your way." I knew where this was headed. Violence. Sweat pea walked forward ready to swing but I stepped in front of him and places my hands on his chest. "Hey hey hey, he made up his mind okay?" I asked but he ignored me and stared at the Jones boy. I turned to look at Jughead with a smirk on my face. "Take the hint Sweat Pea, he's just not interested, " I turned to look at the Serpents behind Sweets and said, " Let's motor." I put my arm around Toni as we walked headed out the door behind the rest of the Serpents. "Catch you later, Jones," she said taking one last look at him before heading outside towards our bikes. --------------------------------------------------------- I hope you enjoyed the chapter!
