A surprise visitor

Finn's p.o.v.
I feel my phone buzz in my pocket. I pick it up and see that Rachel tagged me in a photo. I open the app and see the picture I took. I smile and look at the caption. I feel my eyes well up with tears. I smile as I see all the comments and likes from people. They are really the most perfect people. And they are in my life. I don't know how I got so lucky.

Finn's p.o.v.
I was sitting in my apartment going over paperwork when I hear a knock at the door. I don't think I was expecting anyone. I get up and open the door.

"What's up frankenteen?" I see Santana leaning up against my doorframe.

"Santana!? What are you doing here?" I say in shock then hug her.

"I came to see this bundle of joy the internet keeps freaking out about..... No but seriously I couldn't stay away. I need to see my niece!" She says excitedly. I smile.

"Oh ok um wow. Well come in! I'm so glad you're here!" I say still surprised.

"How is everything?" She asks setting down her bags.

"Weird. Insane. Amazing. I don't know." I say thinking back about the last couple of months.

Santana's p.o.v.
"How are the girls?" I ask. I see him instantly look down and blush like a little boy.

"Them on the other hand are perfect. Except this whole living situation but other than that they're the best things in my life." He says.

"And you and Rachel?" I say smirking getting straight to it. I takes a deep breath.

"Complicated. We're getting along really well which is good... I guess. But how about we just go see them?" He says trying to beat around the question and the juicy details. I'll let it slide just this once.

"I say let's go." I said then we get into his car.

Finn's p.o.v.
Me and Santana get in the car and start to drive to Rachel's.

"I should probably make sure she's not doing anything first. " I say then call and put her on speaker.

"Hello?" I hear her say.

"Hey Rachel. What are you guys up to today?" I ask and I can just see Santana smirking at me.

"Nothing much. Brynn has a little cold so I'm just trying to keep her inside so that she can get better." She says.

"Aw no my poor baby... would you mind a visit?" I ask.

"Sure!" She says.

"Ok I'll be over soon."

"Ok bye." She says then hangs up.

"I don't know Finn. She sounded pretty happy when you said you were coming over." Santana says.

"Here we go." I say rolling my eyes as she just keeps on smirking.

I knock on the door then hear Rachel shout come in so we go in. I look around and hear her in the other room.

"Rachel I brought a surprise!" I say.

"Coming! Sorry I just-" She walks around the corner with her hair in a bun and pajamas on with a crying baby in her arms. She stops when she sees Santana.

"Oh my god Santana!!" She says then hands the baby to me and runs over to Santana and hugs her.

"Surprise!" Santana says smiling.

Rachel's p.o.v.
"I've missed you so much!!" I say to Santana.

"I've missed you too. I guess a lot has changed since I've last been here huh?" She says signaling to the baby.

"Yeah, just a little bit." I say with a laugh.

"I wished Finn would've warned me you were coming! I would've at least taken a shower." I say. Finn looks at me.

"Sorry! She came out of nowhere and wanted to see you guys." He says in defense. Me and Santana laugh.

"It's fine Berry, you're dealing with a sick baby." She says.

"Is my little girl sick? It's ok baby." Finn says calming Brynn down and kissing her cheek.

Santana looks at Finn then smiles at me. I shyly look down and smile back.

"Ok I want to hold my niece!" Santana says breaking the ice then Finn hands Brynn to her. Santana holds her and gets tears in her eyes.

"Is... is that a tear?" Finn's says jokingly.

"Shut it hudson." She says quickly wiping her eyes as Finn laughs. We all sit in my living as Santana holds Brynn.

"I've got to admit, I've missed New York a lot. It's just so different here. But I kinda like it." She says.

"Well maybe you should just move here then." I say with a joking smirk.

"Maybe..." She says suspiciously.

Finn's p.o.v.
Santana offered to rock the baby to sleep so me and Rachel are in her kitchen washing the dishes from dinner.

"So how's Brynn's room at your house coming along?" She randomly asks drying the plates that I'm handing her.

"It's basically done. I just need to get an area rug and curtains then I should be finished with it." I say and she simply nods.

"Why'd you ask?" I say curiously.

"What are you doing next weekend?" She asks turning away to put the plates into the cabinet.

"Um I don't think anything." I simply say.

"Would you maybe want to have her from Friday to Saturday? Quinn wanted to have a girls night." She says turning back towards me.

"Of course, I would love that." I say trying to hide the fact that I'm about to burst into happiness and excitement. She smiles.

"Ok great." She says then gets back to cleaning. I smile at her then look away.

I'm so happy don't get me wrong, but I can't help but feel my heart missing when I used to be with Rachel every night. And now that we have Brynn I miss it even more. I just wish we could get back to where we were and be a normal family that's always together. But I guess that this is one step closer.
