Part 14: The Gold Coast Heist

The coin landed heads and Ark Royal, or the Royal Ark as she was called, was handed over to Kaga's group. Indiana & Jones were upset by this but still accepted the deal as they could at least keep the Royal Ark idol to examine at the museum. The archaeologists and Kaga agreed that once the Japanese carrier finds Kidd's bounty, she must bring back Ark Royal to them safely.

"Well it looks like I'll be joining you guys. If there is an emergency, just ask me and I'll consult my Faireys to help make your wishes come true." Ark Royal announced.

"Oh that's cool. Can I wish to get the treasure immediately than go through the whole process of looking for clues?" Kaga requested.

"Sorry. I can't do that. My planes follow Fairey Law." She denied.

"Fairey Law? What's that?"

"Well it's a set of rules that my magical planes follow. They can make wishes come true, but only certain ones. You cannot make them grant your wishes related to romance, greed, or death."

"I had a feeling it wouldn't be that easy. But if your planes can't kill, how do you even defend yourself?"

"There was I time I had Skuas which were designed to kill but I traded them away for Fulmars and more Swordfishes because I wanted more magic potential. They can at least give crippling blows though. Someone has to finish the dirty work."

"I see. You really are a hassle for me to take care of but let's hope I can find you useful down the road."

The team moved on towards the next destination. The next treasure they had to find was the Gold Coast Bars found around the Australian Gold Coast. New Jersey was glad that they were back in a warmer climate. According to the SIlicon Chip of Knowledge that Kaga was using, the Gold Bars were hidden in an abandoned bank reserve deep inside a hill. For whatever reason, the main entrance is still guarded despite being "abandoned"so something was up. But before they planned their bank heist, Ark Royal needed some fuel, so they stopped at the closest Takao Bell.

When it was Kaga's turn to order, the ship who took her order was, you guessed it, Takao. "I swear, you are everywhere." She told her. "What can I say? I'm a successful business boat. I have mastered the art of being in more than 2 places at the same time." Takao replied.

"Two? How the- Nevermind. We are here to pick up a few extra barrels for our new friend."

"New friend eh? You seem to know how to make friends eh? What is she anyways?"

"She's a carrier and one of the treasures."

"Oh wow! Really!? I should charge you extra for bringing a valuable carrier but since I'm your friend, I wouldn't pull such a move. Speaking of treasure, I think you're here to find those gold bars."

Surprised by this, Kaga asked how she even knew that. Takao simply stated that the Gold Bars were part of a popular urban legend. The Government of the region denied that they exist but it doesn't explain the guards protecting the site. In fact, Takao was working on a tunnel in the back of her establishment into the hill where the vault is. She says that there are alarm sensors that will go off if she decides to bust a hole through the wall. The authorities will arrive and if they see the hole blown up into the vault, she could be charged for the crime. Instead, she wants a heist crew to enter through the main entrance and blow a hole into the tunnel so it would look like she didn't make it when the crew escapes.

Kaga thought over of this plan and tried to use the tips from Takao for her advantage. She gathered her crew and planned their attack on the vault. What they didn't realize was the pair of Australian criminals behind them eavesdropping on what they were discussing. The duo were a destroyer and cruiser named Vampire and Perth. They managed to pick up everything Kaga had to say from making a loud entrance and charging the front door and into the complex. After navigating the maze, they'll try to take as much gold as possible and blow a hole into the tunnel to make their escape. The bandits looked at each other and thought of a devious plan to steal the treasure off Kaga's heist team while they made their escape.
