Today was a historical day; the famous pirate destroyer, Kidd, announced his retirement. On a live television broadcast, he declared that he would no longer live the life of piracy and live off on his private beachfront port property for the rest of his days. The world was upset that they would never hear any more adventures and shenanigans from him but they knew he had to stop one day. Before he closed off, Kidd claimed that he had left behind a great and valuable treasure, and told anyone interested that they could find it and become rich if they so desired. "I left behind a great treasure for all of you to find. No, I did not hide it under Oak Island but rather this hunt will require some keys to the puzzle for your success. I left many smaller treasures behind that you must seek in order to win the big prize." He claimed. "I can't give any hints away but the first clue is to search for the largest pearl you have ever seen."
Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, Kaga, the protaganistic carrier of this story was watching the news of Kidd's retirement on her 120 foot flat screen TV. Upon learning about the lost treasure the destroyer left behind, she couldn't help but wonder what riches she could receive. She dreamed of having a near limitless supply of gold, diamonds, doubloons, silver, credits, pearls and oil. She then tried to remember what the clue that Kidd gave away was about. What does he mean by "the largest pearl you have ever seen?" Kaga decided to pay Mikasa a visit as she is the elder who knows everything.
"Oh hello Kaga. What brings you to my humble home?" The pre-dreadnought greeted. "Oh elder Mikasa, I need help in searching for the first treasure that Captain Kidd had left behind. He said something about the largest pearl I ever saw." Kaga requested.
"I remember Kidd. I used to be a mate of his on his expeditions. One of them was about that pearl you are talking about."
"Wait, you were an associate of his? How old are you?"
"Indeed I was and that was a little rude to ask about my age. Anyways, we found this massive pearl floating out at sea and it was very valuable to us. What's even weirder was the strange powers it possessed. I can't really explain it but it was the most beautiful sight I have ever witnessed. Now you are saying you are searching for this pearl?"
"Yes. I need to find it in order for me to know about the other treasures and eventually the grand prize."
"Well consider yourself lucky. I happen to know where it is. This pearl you seek of is called the Mother of Pearl. Kidd and his team of pirates have hid it in Pearl Harbor and that is all I can say. From then on out, it's up to you to figure out the rest of the clues. Be careful, the further you go out, the more dangerous your journey will be so good luck out there. I recommend that you find yourself a friend to assist you."
"Now if I could get that treasure, maybe I can give some to you."
"That would be lovely. I wish I could use it to free myself from this concrete shell. I miss being out at sea."
Kaga thanked Mikasa for all the information and prepared herself the necessary tools for the journey. She found 90 of her best planes and divided them into 3 major squadrons. 30 planes went into her dive bomber squadron (Momiji), 30 to her torpedo bombers (Sugi) and 30 to her fighter squadron (Sakura) including her most veteran ace, Sakura 0. She stocked up on fuel and munitions as well as brought along a good amount of credits and doubloons. She painted herself with her favourite camouflage and bought herself the best damage control party she could afford. Everything was packed up and she was ready to go. Kaga decided to go over to her friend's port and request for extra assistance.
"Hey Akagi do you want to-"
"Sorry Kaga, I got errands to do." And Akagi went off to do whatever she was doing.
"Bah, who needs friends anyways. I can do this myself and claim all the treasure. I'll be famous and take all of the glory." So Kaga steamed away from her home at full speed towards Hawaii. A passing by Hatsuharu was curious of what she was up to. "Where are you going Kaga?" She asked. "I'm going on an adventure!" The carrier replied. And off she went.
It was getting late, but Kaga had to keep going just in case somebody will beat her to the Pearl. Along the way to Pearl Harbor, Kaga had to sail by the Gates of Midway. As she sailed by, she wondered what that gate was all about. It was big and grand with many dimples along the sides. In front of it were two carriers guarding the entrance. Wherever that gate led too, it must have been very important to them. Not wanting to cause trouble, Kaga kept on going for her destination in a quick fashion. One of the guarding carriers noticed her presence and was curious of why Kaga was moving so quickly. Her name was Enterprise.
"Hey Hornet, do you mind covering for me? I have a few errands to run." Enterprise told the other.
"Sure, how long will you be gone?"
"Who knows. Try to get your daughter, Hornet, to take my position. I think this is important for me."
"Whatever. I don't think the boss minds your absence."
Enterprise then proceeded to follow Kaga's trail from a safe distance. Meanwhile, Kaga did not know of Enterprise's existence and went happily on her way. As she continued going forward, a submarine popped up in front of her. "Arf arf!" It barked happily, signalling that it was friendly. "Well hello there little fella. What is your name?" She wondered as she looked for the sub's name. The submarine was labelled as I-168. "Are you lost I-168?" and the submarine continued to bark in excitement. "Don't worry, we'll find your owner soon enough."
"Arf, arf, bark!"
"Do you want to join me for awhile?"
The submarine barked in agreement and Kaga took her in. "Don't worry, you'll be safe with me. C'mon, let's go." The new dual went on their way towards Hawaii. By the next morning, they were already outside the entrance to Pearl Harbor. "Well, this is it. Follow close to me I-168." She said as the sub sniffed behind her. Once inside, the carrier was greeted by a group of battleships. "Welcome traveller, to Pearl Harbor. We are the Order of the Pearl. What brings you to this fine base of ours?" The head battleship named Arizona asked. Kaga then proceeded to speak up. She...
