Chapter 4

Chapter 4: Monk, Natalie, and Lassie

Monk could not believe he is working a case again. Lassie pick them up from the airport. Jason Anderson is paying for Monk and Natalie's hotel rooms. Lassie was surprised to see Randy Disher and Natalie's daughter Julie. "I know what you are going to say. My daughter Julie is wanted to study criminology. Randy Disher lost his job and Sharona kicks him out of the house," Natalie replied sadly. "The more help we get the better. Captain Jason, made arrangements for you all to stay in the best hotel in Seattle. Also, the rooms are clean to your satisfaction Monk. We are going see Greg tomorrow," Lassie replied.

The next day Monk, Natalie, and Randy went to the prison with Lassie to see Greg. Julie stay at the hotel doing research online on Bree Tanner to see if she has any friends who would talk to her. Greg was in the waiting room when Monk, Natalie, Randy, and Lassie come to introduce themselves. "Greg, can you tell us again what you told Shawn?" Monk asks. "Yes, sure," Greg replied. Greg told Monk and the others the same story he told Shawn. After Greg finish his story Monk knew Greg was innocent. "Greg, you are guilty of many things, but I do not believe you are a murderer. We will find your wife's killer. Do you Know any of your wife's friends?" Monk asks.

"I want to thank you guys for taking my case. I almost gave up hope on anyone believing in my innocents," Greg replied. "Do not thank us yet. Thank us when we solved your wife's murder and put the real murderer behind bars," Lassie replied. "I still want to thank you anyway," Greg replied. "I hope your time in prison has taught you to treat people better," Monk replied. "Yes, it has," Greg replied. Julie called after they left the prison. "Mom, I found some of Bree's friends," Julie replied. "Do you know where they live?" Natalie asks. Julie gave her mom the address.

Natalie and Monk went to talk to Bree's friend Casey Cook. "Hello Casey, my name is Natalie Teeger and this is my boss Adrian Monk. We are here to ask you some questions about your friend Bree," Natalie replied. "I know your daughter told me you were coming," Casey replied. "When is the last time you see Bree?" Natalie asks. "Bree came to my house while my uncle was working. She told me that a boy name Riley Biers kidnap her and this woman Victoria bit her. Bree told me that she was always thirsty for human blood after Victoria bit her. Bree did not know why she wanted to drink human blood. She also told me that Victoria wanted revenge against a girl named Bella Swan and the Cullen family. The last time I saw Bree is when she told me she escape death by using her telepathy ability. Bree told me that this blonde girl tries to have her killed and Bree used her abilities to make her attempted killers believe they killed her," Casey replied. "So, Bree is alive!" Monk replied angrily.

Casey went to the Seattle police and told them what she told Natalie and Monk. Greg was clear of murdering Bree. The police put Bree back on as a missing person. Natalie and Monk told Shawn and Jason about Victoria. They told them how Victoria wanted revenge against a girl named Bella Swan. "I know Bella Swan. Bella is married to Edward Cullen. The Cullen is friends with my wife's family. I guess I have to go question them. I hate to do that, but my duty as a police officer comes first," Jason replied sadly. Jason went to talk to Carlisle Cullen. Carlisle was working when he saw Jason walking toward him and knew that Jason knew something.
