Dream Gone Wrong

Chapter 3

Monse and I were hopping up and down on our way home. We still couldn't believe what just happened and we were still very excited about it.

"You are a lifesaver, Ailea!" Monse exclaimed to me, throwing in a big hug.

I smiled and said,"I know, Monse. I cant believe we'll get to actually see them on set. We can meet them too!"

We squealed and then we finally arrived at my house, dark at night. "Bye Monse! My mom is totally going to kill me when I get home, ugh!"

Monse laughed and said,"Okay, well good luck with that!"

When Monse left, I sighed and tried to take deep breaths. I was so scared to see my parents' reaction. But, I need to be a brave girl. I can handle this. It's just your parents, it's just your parents. Wait. It's not JUST YOUR PARENTS! They're going to become serial killers once I walk in! Calm down, Ailea, calm down... Everything will be fine. Everything will be fine. I can do this.

I walked to the front door confidently, and squatted under my mat to grab the keys. Then I turned the knob and the door opened. I walked inside only to find my mom and dad standing right in front of me. By the look of their faces, they were mad as heck...

"Hi, Mom!" I exclaimed, with a fake smile, acting like nothing had just happened. "Hi, Dad!"

"WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU?" My parents yelled to me at the same time. Then they exchanged happy glances and Mom said,"We finally got it right this time, Dylan!"

I rolled my eyes and said,"Look, it's nothing for you to worry about. I was just at the science fair at my school—you know they're until nighttime. And I forgot to tell you about it this time. I'm sorry."

I think that was a pretty good excuse. After all, the science fairs at my school were until night anyways.

"Oh, why couldn't you just text us that, honey?" said Dad.

Yes! Thank God they bought my excuse! In my mind I squealed with my delight, but I tried not to influence that on my outside appearance.

"My phone died!" I exclaimed, showing my phone screen, it had the big low battery symbol in the center of the screen.

That was another lie. I just got that picture from online. And these stupid parents of mine still believed me!

"Okay then, well go wash up and head to bed, Ailea." Mom said and my parents kissed my cheek and I embarrassedly walked up to my bathroom to shower.

The Next Day...
I walked outside to the bus stop to see Monse eating takis from her lunch box.

"Monse!" I exclaimed. "Give me some takis right now!"

She rolled her eyes and handed me two takis. I snatched them from her and threw them in my mouth. Ahhhh. Feel the heat. I like them because of the lime hint and flavor.

Finally, the bus came and we hopped onto it and when we were about to sit at our usual spot, we found Dejour and Martil there.

"What the f-" I was about to cuss but Monse kicked me as a warning not to.

"Get off our seats, you little skanks!" Monse said and kicked them off.

"Hey!" they exclaimed and kicked us but we held onto the other seats for support so we didn't fall also.

"Dejour and Martil, I'm not dealing with you anymore!" Mrs. Ling exclaimed and opened the bus door. "Get the hell off my bus, stupid boys!"

We smirked at them and they gave us one last punch before they walked out.
