The Vatos came.

Alexandria was ready.

Over the past few weeks, since Navy has been talking to Negan, he's told her a lot. It helped them prepare.

The Hilltop and The Kingdom, along with The Whisperes and Oceanside, sent over some of their best fighters, making sure to keep some at their own camps just in case.

Daryl was up on his feet and ready to fight. He still had some physical therapy to work on, but he was good enough to fight. He wanted to fight.

Henry was fighting.

Everybody was ready.

"I'm not going back," Negan stayed firmly, standing above the gates. His voice was loud and strong, resembling a strong man. "You won't be, either."

One of the Vatos narrowed his eyebrows. He had a darker tan, short brown hair and deep brown eyes. He stood as if he was above everybody else, resembling how he must be one of the leaders, if not, the leader.

"We should've never trusted you," the Vato said. He made a motion with his hand, where all his people raised their weapons. "This is your last chance. Give us back the girl. Give us back the man. And give us back Negan."

"No," Negan hissed. He raised his gun, Rick raised his, and everybody followed his actions. Navy was told to stay back in the house with all the children of Alexandria under 7, everybody from 7-14 were with another lady, and the ones who didn't know how to fight, which were few, were with a couple of people who did.

Navy had the children hidden in the basement. She had Elle and CJ along with 2 other babies of Alexandria in a closet in the basement with Judith and R.J., who were armed and ready to fight. There were 14 other kids, all of them hidden in various spots of the basement. Navy sat at the staircase of the basement, her rifle aimed up at the door that sat at the top of the staircase. The children would not be found if somebody came down there, not knowing the setup of the basement. Rick had specifically chosen 4 houses, his own being one of them, that he designed to have a confusing setup specially for this occasion. It has certain parts that are designed for hiding people or items, like holes in the floor that are covered by a piece of flooring and appear completely normal. Same design with parts in the wall,  they were invisible doors. Not only that, but he specifically designed them to have different hallways going every which way, easily comparable to a maze.

Navy knew what her ears were hearing.

They were fighting.

She heard the gunshots, she was ready.

Elle started crying. Judith snuck out of the closet, cradling Elle.

"I think she's hungry," Judith said softly. Navy swore under her breath. "I can watch the stairs, I got this," Judith nodded, assuring her. Navy sighed, switching Elle for the gun. Now Judith had the rifle, and Navy had Elle. Navy moved to the corner next to the closet that RJ was now in, protecting the babies. Navy folded her legs up to her chest, balancing Elle on them. She was ready, if Judith needed her assistance, she could fold her shirt back down, place Elle in the little spot behind the chair she was sitting in, and go help Judith.

The upstairs door opened.

Navy readied herself to get up, but Judith fired one shot, and a walker body fell down the stairs. She stepped out of the way, and then stepped back. Navy watched. Since Elle was so small, if she gets hungry, she can't wait, or else she'll get hypoglycemia, just like Cooper did when he was a little baby dog.

"I'm okay," Judith assured Navy, even though she couldn't see Navy from where she was sitting, but Navy could see Judith. "Walkers got in the walls."

"Or somebody died and turned," Navy told her. Judith gulped. "Don't look at the face. Eyes on the door," Navy quickly instructed. Judith listened to her, not daring to look into the eyes of whoever that body once belonged too.

Elle finished.

Navy fixed her shirt, burped Elle, and gently opened the door to the closet to hand RJ the baby, who he very gently placed in one of the bassinets. Navy switched spots with Judith, who still refused to look at the face. Judith wasn't good with deaths, that's her flaw that she will admit.

Navy glanced down at the face, recognizing it to be Rodney. No emotions went through her, her face was an on point poker face as she raised the rifle back up at the door, ready for whatever to come through it.

Henry was fighting up in the streets, using a gun for the first time in forever. Even though his specialty was a jo, it was much safer to use a gun from one of the watch towers rather than going hands on with a stick.

Henry all of a sudden stopped fighting. He looked at something in the distance, his eyes furrowing.

"Is that... Carl?"
