A Twisted Fate (Dream Sans + Nightmare Sans) [Temporary Discontinuing]

Chapter 1 - Beginning of an ending story

The once beautiful, magical, lands of Dreamtale, that now sat in ruins, lay silent. The mornings and afternoons that were once beautiful and sunny, now laid quiet, with dark skies, and no signs of life grew. The only building that was left was a castle, where one of the brothers of the Tree of Feelings lived. He was known as King Nightmare…. Ever since Dreams defeat, he ruled the land. He put fear and sadness into whoever crossed his path. Few people lived in DreamTale these days, most have passed or ran away, never to be seen again. Nightmare liked seeing these peoples fear….in fact it gave him power. Any negative emotion made him stronger. You would think a man, or skeleton, would be satisfied by these accomplishments, but Nightmare certainly wasn't…. You see, he's after someone, and he won't stop tracking them down until he knows they are eliminated. That person was his brother, Dream. After being freed from his stone prison he was able to escape. Nightmare sends out his fellow ‘teammates’ of the evil Sans’s to track, capture, or kill him. They would succeed in tracking him….but capturing him was surprisingly tricky. Dream may not be powerful like his brother or other Sans’s, but he sure as hell was smarter than most of them. He was good at running, especially away. For someone so small he can outrun most people surprisingly. Because of this Dream usually escapes with only a few scars to be left. But he certainly can't escape without a broken heart. He misses Nightmare more than anything. Any insult of being a coward or useless from Nightmare, Dream believes it. He blames himself for what happened to his dear brother. Every time he encounters Nightmare he wonders why he's running away and not accepting his fate, well, its because Dream believes he can possibly save Nightmare still. That hope though is running out. Nightmare is finding Dream more often since Dream is producing more and more negative energy, leading Nightmare to him. What both of them don't know is that Dream is killing his own soul, the last golden apple, becoming weaker and more fragile, and Nightmare….though he feels that he hates Dream, thinking that he wants him dead….Nightmare doesn't realize that he NEEDS Dream. He thinks he doesn't care for Dream, but really, Dream means everything to him. His poor soul wouldn't be able to handle the fact Dream is gone if he ever passed or something traumatic happened to poor Dream, and unfortunately….Nightmare will learn that a bit too late….

Ink and Blue, Dreams dearest friends, worries for him. Dream has been falling deeper, and deeper into despair. It's not stopping anytime soon, especially since Ink, Dreams closest friend, has been out more and more trying to protect the AUs. Error has become more powerful somehow and Ink has been coming back with serious injuries, ones that keep getting worse by each battle he fights.

Dream fears he may lose his friend if this continues, and he can't afford that.

Dream feels as if his life is spiraling out of control. Nobody knows what the future holds, and they can't prevent it.

Its a path to a twisted fate….
