Axl was currently stressed, but I mean what else was new?

Once again he was at work with the gypsy he calls his best friend, who was gawking at the tall blonde idiot flipping the burgers.

Anyone with an eye could see that those two were obsessed with each other.

And if the person didn't have an eye, they could definitely hear the sounds coming from the kitchen at closing.

Axl swears..that's just unsanitary.

But either way, Duff's dad owned the restaurant, so if they wanted to screw around and do that in the kitchen, so be it.

But today, was a special day, he tried to get the day off, but Slash told him he had a surprise for him at the diner anyway, so he went into work.

What was the special day you might ask? Well, for Axl it is something he never thought he would accomplish with someone.

One year anniversary.

Just the thought of it makes a cheesy smile appear on Axl's face, causing some of the customers to look at him like he's nuts for just randomly smiling like a moron when they order a burger.

But he could care less.

Now, the end of the night, the last customer had just went out the doors, each customer leaves by nine, even though the diner is open till eleven.

Well Axl was in the bathroom at the moment, his mind running wild with possible ideas of what the surprise was that Slash had in store for him.

He was taking his hair out of its ponytail, because unlike a gypsy and his giant love toy, he had manners, when he hears the door to the diner opening, causing him to groan.

But then he hears the voice that could make him smile through anything, and covers his mouth just in time to mute a very manly scream.

He quickly scurries out of the restroom, looking up from his messy copper locks to see the older man, who was carrying some dinner plates, and some wine.

Axl laughs softly, but not unkindly.  In the last months they had been dating, Slash had been showering him in surprise gifts and expensive dinners, surprise visits, something he wasn't used to, even told the older man he wasn't, to which Slash had replied "That's why I do it..you deserve it sugar." And the soft look in the eyes of the man had caused Axl to nearly melt through the floor.

He's pulled out of his thoughts by the man smiling at him, and gesturing to a table, but not just any table, the table they met at.

Axl bites his lip softly, going over to the table as Izzy smirks his way, even though the gypsy made fun of Axl, he truly did care for the redhead.

He's led over to the table, gently sitting in one side of the booth as out of nowhere Slash brings out wine glasses, beginning to pour the drink.

Once that was done, the older man takes a seat on the other side of the booth, uncovering the plates to reveal steak that made Axl's mouth water at just the look, fried potatoes, and under the third tray, a velvety chocolate mousse.

Axl looks at the dishes, stunned. "Slash, did you cook all of this?" He asks softly as Izzy brings over some silverware, smiling softly as he backs away.

"Ah, I needed some practice anyway. " Slash smiles and winks, "Well gingersnap, taste it. " he says.

Once the food is brought to Axl's mouth, he can honestly say that the flavors explode on his tastebuds, he hasn't had anything this amazing..probably ever.
