After Kayo finished eating, Tobbi clung to him as if Kayo was a human shield protecting him from Romina. Amazingly Kayo seemed to be absolutely oblivious by the fact that there was a giant wave of tension flooding the whole room as he went about his own business, and Tobbi was thankful for that. Romina caught on to Tobbi's little trick from the start but didn't say anything about it as she had her silent fun by entering whatever room the others were in just so she would see how Tobbi would freak out to himself. This went on for most of the day, but she had hours where she wouldn't do anything, so her appearance was always unexpected. Eventually they all ended up in the bigger guest bedroom, the one Romina and Kayo slept in on their own beds. This bedroom in particular only had one door, and she purposely stood in the doorway to block the only exit.
"I have an idea." Romina finally stated as she knew she had cornered them. The boys both looked at her in confusion.
"How about you just-"
"How about you just leave me alone?" Tobbi interrupted hastily. Romina smirked, a rare occasion on its own, so it made the situation even more uncomfortable.
"I was just going to say you should get some fresh air, being stuck up in here in this place can make you more paranoid." Her smile grew, her and Tobbi knew that wasn't what she wanted to say, but he went along with it.
"Sure, and where can I go around here that's any better for my mind?" He questioned, testing how far he could push this.
"Out on the streets, preform some 'magic' with that deck of cards you have, steal people's money for all I care, just stop being so paranoid for once." Her face looked nothing like it did a few seconds ago, where she had been smiling with a playful (yet harsh) tone, she had turned back to her usual self: a perfect poker face, and a strong sense of indifference and resentment.
Tobbi decided it would be wise not to push further, seeing as how her death glare freaked him out, and walked up to stand a few feet away from her before speaking.
"Fine, if you insist." He smiled playfully however, putting on a fake show of courage. Whether or not it was to try to fool Kayo and Romina or just himself, he wasn't quite sure. Romina stepped out of the doorway to allow him to walk past, motioning for Kayo, who was confused without much to say, to follow her to the living room so she could keep an eye on him.
A few minutes later Tobbi had gotten dressed and ready to head outside before Romina stopped him once again.
"Clean that off your face first, dipshit." Was all she said before going over to the couch to watch stuff on tv.
I completely forgot... Tobbi panicked slightly, though only to himself, and made his way to the bathroom to wash off the dry blood that had dried from the guy at the casino punching his face.
It will probably happen again today, people are strange. He thought as he looked at himself in the mirror, staring at his own face for a few seconds before walking back out and to the exit. This time Romina didn't stop him as he walked out with his favorite hoodie on and his deck of cards in his pants pocket.
A few minutes passed and Kayo looked at Romina with a hint of worry.
"Rose... go easy on him."
"You're actually serious about this one?" Rose questioned. Kayo didn't respond, instead he turned his head to face a wall, embarrased. She stared at him, intrigued. A few seconds went by before she spoke again.
"Fine, Kayo. But know that if he does anything stupid then I'll kick his ass." She gave him a warm, motherly smile and he laughed a bit, still sitting on the couch, but now he looked back to Romina.
"Thank you, Rose." He said genuinely.
