She felt her whole world getting darker and darker by the second.
As they chased her through the forest, she wished for some kind of refuge to appear right before her very eyes - a place she could go and hide into.
She honestly wished to disappear from this accursed world.
Then, all of a sudden, she heard something whisper to her ear, beckoning her. She turned and sw the dark, mysterious lake, its deathly calm waters seemingly trying to welcome her.
A safe refuge, almost like a dwelling place.
Her enemies grew ever so near. Her death was fast approaching, by the hands of those people, nonetheless.
She took a step forward, her feet being hugged and welcomed by the cold water. She walked, walked, and walked, until she was waist deep into the waters.
