Harry looked at his watch. It was 11:14.
He suddenly turned around, to go back from where they belonged.
As Callie saw him turn. She turned too.
“Come.” Harry lended her his hand. She first hesitated then took in gracefully. They again started to walk side by side, hand in hand, But the amazing thing was, that none of them were feeling awkward about it.
Harry’s hand was warm compared to this winter evening. It was a soothing effect. Both of them didn’t wanted to let go.
Callie searched for an expression on Harry’s face as he looked down the road with serious eyes. She saw his turning soft and then he smiled. With a feeling that he will look at her next, she looked down again.
“So, I would really love to do that again some time.” Harry said as he faced her.
“What?” Callie asked while trying to replay their conversation from before.
“Going out, just you and I like two friends hanging out.” Harry explained.
“Yeah… Sure, I would love that. But when?” Callie asked.
“What about day after tomorrow? As i'm busy tomorrow.”
“Woho.” Callie smiled “You really excited huh?”
“Of course. Who don’t wanna spend a day with you?” Harry teased.
“Well sorry boy but you are late. I already have plans.”
“Oh, okay.” Harry made a puppy face. “What’s so important?”
“Well I have to go to shopping. To buy a new dress for this get-together Eleanor is organising. I don't know the day but she said she'll let me know it soon.”
“Oh that. Yeah, I have to go too.”
“That’s nice. Who are you taking along?” Callie asked in a curious voice.
“Wait. What? You have to take a date?”
That made Callie smile so much on his innocence.
“Yeah you do. You didn’t knew?”
“Of course not, anyways who is your date?” Harry poked her on her arm playfully. Eager to know who that person is.
“Well for your disappointment. Nobody.”
“Well than you can come with me.” Harry said, his voice serious.
“Um… are you sure that you want me to be your date for the night?”
“Well no not as date-date but yeah friend-date. It’s confusing but I hope you know what I mean. Because then there will be no awkward conversations as we already know each other.”
“Yeah I understand.” Callie said in a weak voice. She was excited for minute but then she realised that he still takes her as a friend.
“And, as you are my date. I would not let you wear bad clothes you see.” Harry replied. “So I’ll come with you for the shopping.”
“You really think I wear bad clothes?” Callie demanded.
“Just kidding, I have to do some shopping myself. So we can go together.”
“Nice, I’m looking forward to it.” Callie pressed a smile on her face.
And as she spoke they both realised that they have already reached the venue. All of the people were coming out. She spotted some of her friends going home, Taking cars, taxis. Some of the girls were staring at her and Harry with an expression of “Who’s that girl with Harry?”
“There they are.” She heard El’s voice approaching them with the gang, interrupting her thoughts. “Where were you both? We were really worried.”
“I’m sorry we just got drifted away with our talks.” Harry explained.
“Ooo. Talks? What kinda talks Harry?” Louis pulled his leg.
Harry eyed him and smiled.
Callie was trying to look normal not to blush. As she couldn’t get over the feeling that Harry was stilled holding her hand, and tightened his grim time-to-time.
“Well. Okay now that you are here. I would like to talk about the get-together.”
“What about it?” Callie asked.
“Well first of all as you don’t have a date. I would li…”
“She’s with me.” Harry interrupted her.
“You are?” El asked Callie, in a surprising tone.
“Yeah well… Yeah I am.” Callie said. She had no idea why was she getting nervous. A chilled thrill passed through her.
“Well than that fix it. Great. I don’t have to worry anymore.” She said and trailed off.
“Okay then I guess I would be leaving too. Bye guys.” Louis said.
They all said there good byes.
When all of them left, Harry looked at Callie and smiled.
“What? Why are you smiling like that?” she demanded.
“You were blushing.” He said as he tried to stop a cab for her.
“No I was not.” She said shyly.
“Don’t deny it I saw it on your face.” He said and a cab stopped just in front of them
Harry opened the door for her but before she could get in he said.
“Callie you know I can drop you home, won’t be big deal for me.” He said as he was never comfortable leaving anyone to taxi at this time of the night. It’s was very late. Almost midnight.
“No that won’t be necessary and I don’t want all the paparazzi’s to follow me calling me your girl.” She said and smiled at the thought of being called Harry’s girl.
“Okay well I’ll meet you soon than.” He said and the cab went away.
The night was enchanting for Callie. She never though she would feel so free and beautiful about herself.
She was looking forward to Meet Harry again.
