Chapter 5

It had now been a little bit under two months since you moved into your new home. During this time, you had managed to make friends with a girl named Jessica down by the skate park. She had light brown hair that she usually kept in a messy bun. She seemed pretty chill, although she was a bit obsessed with this James guy. You also became pretty good friends with her older brother Chris. You still hung out with Elliott during school. As the days went on, you liked him more and more. He was just so cute, cool, funny, and just an amazing guy. However, you had no idea what he thought of you. What if he didn't like you back?

One day, you sat down at the cafeteria table, and pulled your lunch box out of your backpack. Except your lunch box was a bit lighter than usual. And then you came to a horrible realization; You forgot to pack your lunch!

"God, I'm an idiot!!!!!!" You shouted, the whole cafeteria probably able to hear you. You had a bit of a bad habit of getting worked up over the smallest things. "Now I'm gonna starve to death all because of my own stupidity." You whispered to yourself, probably still loud enough for other people to hear. You noticed Elliott caught a glimpse of you. Great, he probably thought you were a freak now.

After a few minutes of moping and your stomach growling like crazy, you felt a tap on the shoulder. You were expecting to see one of the teachers probably ready to lecture you for screaming, but instead you saw a sweet little emo face, his blue green eye slightly poking out of his thick bangs. He was holding a bag of cool ranch Doritos and a can of Dr.Pepper.

"I heard you complaining about you forgetting your lunch so I decided to get you some." He smiled and handed you the lunch.

"Oh my goodness thank you so much!!!!" You set the food down and hugged him. "Y-you're so sweet!!!!!"

"Eh, I don't really get that hungry. Figured you needed it more than I do." As soon as he said that you just wanted to kiss him so badly, but that would just be plain weird. The hug was enough, although you had been hugging him for a few seconds now, probably more than what was socially allowed. You didn't want to let go of him. He was just so warm, and he smelled really nice too. But eventually you pulled yourself apart, feeling a little bad for him.

"S-sorry, I just......."

"To be honest I kinda liked it." He blushed.

"Wait-what?" You grabbed the Dorito bag and began opening it. "D-do you?"

"Yes, (y/n). I must confess, I kinda sorta like you a little bit. Just a little." His pale face suddenly turned the color of a lobster. "Okay, maybe a lot." He scratched the back of his neck, while you just stood there in shock. He really did like you.

"Awww, you're so adorable when you talk like that!" You gave him yet another hug. "I actually really like you too!" After you pulled apart from the hug, the two of you just awkwardly gazed at each other, not really knowing what to say.

"Hey, (y/n), there's actually someplace I would like to take you. Just the two of us." Elliott finally spoke.

"D-did you just ask me out!?!?!?" You screeched a little, trying not to freak out.

"Heheheheh, maybe............" He was hardcore blushing now, hardly able to look you in the eye.

"I-I would love to!!!!!! But where are you gonna take me?"

"Hmmmm, you know what it's gonna be a surprise! But you know what, I'll give you a hint, you might wanna get a Halloween costume." That's right, Halloween was coming up! And you still deciding if you wanted to get a costume or not, as you were getting a bit old for the whole trick-or-treating thing. Well, I guess that helped you make your decision.

"Sounds awesome, when is it gonna be?" You asked excitedly.

"This Friday. Hey, ya know, we haven't exchanged numbers yet."

"Oh yeah, right." He gave you his phone and you put your number in it.

"My mom can drive me to your house and she can take us there. I'll pick you up at 6."

"Okay, see ya then!" You couldn't wait for this night!

Fun fact, Chris and Jessica are the names of my half siblings. Yeah, I decided to insert younger versions of them into the story just cause I needed characters.
