Chapter 6
Kelsey's POV
"Dad for the eight hundred and twenty time I am perfectly fine!" I almost shouted at my father through the phone. Antonia's body has been cremated and they threw away her ashes .''
"Since everything is so perfectly fine; why don't you explain the group of people who wants you dead?'' My father asked nervously and scared.
Ok he got me there.
"Umm well... ok you got me there. But they have guards surrounding me everywhere I go and over a thousand are guarding outside the Palace. Dad everything is ok.''
Well at least I think it is.
"Honey as you can hear from my voice I am trembling. I am very scared. You are my only daughter and I don't want to be going to your funeral anytime soon,''He said. Are you sure that you are ok?''
"Yes dad I am sure.''
"Are you sure sure sure?'' He queried.
Ughhh.
"Dad just please don't fret over me too much. Go eat some Nutella or something or Peanut Butter,'' I yawned. Oh and tell mommy that I say Good morning when she wakes up will you?''
"Of course I will. And Nutella sounds awesome right now.''
"Ok great. I love you,'' I cooed.
"I love you too Kelsey,'' He hang up.
I stretched my arms and rolled off of my bed.
Knock
Knock
Knock
"Come in Mia,'' I answered.
When she entered she looked at me in disgust.
"Oh my you look awful,'' Mia scrunched up her face.
"You think?'' I rubbed my nose.
"Were you crying again Kelsey?'' Mia looked worried.
"Yep.'' I said pooping the p.
Before my father called me for the fourteenth time, I was staring at the ceiling and was thinking of how my life would have been without being in all this chaos. I didn't even realize that I was crying , when I tasted something salty on my lips.
"I told you no crying. Things are going to get better. You just have to be patient,'' she rubbed my hair.
"But things aren't getting better,'' I whined.
"Kelsey it isn't like you are on the streets starving to death! You are in a Palace! You have people at your beckon call every second of the God dammit day. You must give God thanks and stop whining like a big baby.'' She preached.
Hallelujah!
"Preacher much?'' I muttered under my breath.
"I heard that and yes I am. Now get your lazy self down stairs. It is time for breakfast.''
Before leaving my room, I put my hair into a simple ponytail, washed my face, changed my clothes and brushed my teeth.
Mia left me to go to the ballroom to finish up the last touches for the party. Jason and Mason were suppose to be here at the breakfast table eating with me but it seems that they aren't going to be here because if they were coming, they will be already eating away. Not even the workers were around. But there was someone in the kitchen, fidgeting with the utensils.
I really don't know why these people are working their butts off for someone so cruel and heartless. If I were working for the Prince, I will rather commit suicide.
