CHAPTER 9
Kelsey's POV
A month has past since I stood foot in this Palace and I have to say that it was a rollercoaster ride. Things have gotten better and each and everyday is better than the last. I have met new people and I am more experienced in being a Princess than I was a month ago. I've learned alot and when the time comes for me to take the throne, I'll be ready.
Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind going back to my old life but this modern life is worth getting use to. It is a bit intriguing.
"Hey Kelsey do you mind going to the beach with Xavier, Mason and Me?'' Daire's cherubic face lit up jubilantly. "We are going to play net ball.''
Daire had an immaculate personality that always looks captivating. She is someone who I will describe as being vibrant and bubbly and a little bashful at times. She acts like a lady and walks with sinuous grace.
By looking at the uninterested look on my face, she gave a wistful, crooked smile. "Come on it will be fun. Your leg is healed and looks great and cured. You are finally ok.''
My leg healed from Jason's attack and the stitches are all out. It looked as though nothing happened. It doesn't pain as much anymore and I can walk freely, almost feeling no agony. I even feel safer now, due to Jason's absence in the Palace.
He was sent away to an asylum in the city to be treated and counselled. His parents believed that he was going mad and hallucinating things. They also learned that he is on a multiple of different drugs that maybe caused the hallucinations. It was not easy to get a hold of him to send him away. He did put up a fight.
"Who do you think you are?'' Jason bellowed. "Putting your filthy hands on me are you insane?''
He looked drained and unbelievably emaciated that he could hardly stand. Jason's hair was a mess and his face was pale and cracked. He could have been mistaken for a ghost. Even his clothes were ragged and torn and he was wearing no shoes. Jason looked like a homeless man off of the streets, frazzled and scared.
At the time, I was in crutches and my leg was wrapped tightly. The bandages and the fabric used was already frayed, the middle stained red with blood, my blood. I was in my room sleeping after having a meeting with the Council. I was worned out. I heard alot of comotion downstairs that awoke me with a jolt that day. I gently hopped downstairs and saw Jason's small frame, held by four body guards, screaming at the top of his lungs, telling them to let him go.
Xavier, Daire, Mason, Mia and some other maids, Demarco, Queen Henry and her husband and even the tailor Emanuel were all witnesses of Jason's incredulous behaviour. Mason looked melancholy as he sees this. His bestfriend, changed so suddenly due to the fact of Xavier being here. Jason's parents looked hurt but were trying their best not to look so off key. They told my guards to send me back to my room but I refused to do so.
"If you don't loose me right now I will kill you!" He raged as if his swearing could scare away the thickly built, robust, guards.
