Third person POV
It has been some weeks and Thranduil is in the 5 th month (elf males are pregnant for 1 year)
Thranduil is walking in the garden to calm the babies that had woken him up in the middle of the night. He passed some benches and saw a black haired dwarf sitting on one of them. At first Thranduil wanted to scream and ask what the hell this dwarf did in the middle of the night but stopped his thoughts when he saw that the dwarf was crying.
The dwarf must have heard him come and turned quickly around.
- Sorry I didn't mean to scare you
- You didn't
- Why are you out here in the middle of the night?
- None of your business
- Well I think it is because it's my garden
The dwarf looked up to the dark sky
- Have you ever felt like the world gives you everything then takes back half of it and you can't handle the remaining?
- Yeah I have
Thranduil placed a hand on his belly and tried not to cry
- The reason I'm so weak now is that I found my babies father dead and I couldn't stand fighting at the place were my babies father died so I threw up almost every meal I ate two days afterwards.
The dwarf named Fili looked at him with adore in his eyes and then he looked up at the stars again
- I lost my brother in that battle and I don't know how to move on
Thranduil put a supporting hand on Fili's shoulder
- Some day you will find a way to recover and you shall know that you can always talk to me if it is anything
A suddenly roar came from the back of the garden and both Fili and Thranduil turned around. There stood Thorin out of mind
- You are not touching him your fat filth

- THRANDUIL YOU HAVE TURNED MY SISTER'S SON AGAINST ME!!!?
- So Thorin cool down or I will have to call on my guards I can't risk my babies health because you are throwing a tantrum
- SHUT UP YOUR KIDS MEANS NOTHING TO YOU YOU JUST WANT PEOPLE TO NOTICE YOU!!!!!
Then Thranduil has enough
- OUT OF MY LAND I'M NOT GOING TO HAVE YOU INSULTING MY UNBORN CHILDREN OUT!!!
Guards came running with Tauriel in the lead
- My king are you alright
- Can you please escort Thorin out of our lands
- What about the other dwarf?
- He can stay if he wish
Fili nodded
The guards left with Thorin and Fili got to his room only Thranduil and Tauriel was left
- Are you okay?
- Yes Tauriel I'm okay a bit nauseous maybe
- And the babies?
- Oh yeah they seem more than okay
Tauriel nodded and left leaving Thranduil alone but almost 2 minuets after she left came Elrond.
- Didn't I told you not to get upset?
- What should I have done he insulted my babies and my ability to love them
- Well that maybe is a reason to be upset but why were you out so late in the first place?
- The babies woke me up so I decided to go for a walk and try get them back to sleep
- Are they moving now?
- Oh hell yes they are probably trying to kick them self out of there.
Thranduil smiled and put a hand on his belly
- Well they seem to be okay but you should go back in do you need help up?
- Probably
- You are getting big
- Thank you that was really mean
- I mean that it is good that the babies are big now because soon you will have hard to eat without throwing up and then the babies will need the fat so eat much while you can
- I will do not worry
- Alright now I will worry until the day they are born
Thranduil smiled and headed towards his camber when he heard a voice calling for him
- Ada is it you?
I turned around to see Legolas looking at me
- Yes what is it son?
- I heard what happened between you and Thranduil are you okay?
- Yes son
- Ada can I sleep in your camber tonight I want to be close to you if something happens
Thranduil knowing that Legolas would do it even if he refused so he just nodded and they started to walk to Thranduil's camber.
Well there they put on a night gown and laid beside each other.
Thranduil couldn't sleep because of the babies but as smart as Legolas was he understood that his father probably were struggling so he put a hand on his father's belly and started to speak calmly to it in elvish and after just some moments the babies seemed to sleep.

And soon both of them fell asleep
